You're not my nemesis
I'm guessing the Middle Eastern man on the plane that gave his condolences to Jack will have some part in the story in the future. Maybe he will end up on the island and play a role in future episodes?
Loved seeing Jin drive up and jump out wearing a Dharma suit! It was good to see that he obviously recognized them. I bet he's wondering if Sun is there, and probably upset at the thought since he made Locke promise to tell her he was dead. Can we assume that the Losties left behind all travel back to the Dharma times and infiltrate? I wonder what they tell the Dharma people when they show up to explain who they are and what they are doing there. If we assume that Jin-Dharma and Dan-Dharma are during the same time then they must end up staying in that time period for awhile.
I'm curious to see if Sun, Ben, and Sayid are on another place in the island or what happened. I'm also curious to see if the other plane passengers are, as well.
I am also curious about all of the connections to the original flight. Have all of those been recreated by the people themselves, or does the island/spacetime continuum have some kind of way of ensuring that the important elements are the same? How responsible are the people for understanding and recreating these things?
Sayid's demeanor was very interesting to me during the boarding of the plane and the flying. He didn't act like he was super gung-ho about being there, but he definitely acted like he knew what was going on and had resigned himself to what was going to happen. Did he have any choice in his inclusion on the flight or is that something that was set up by Ben or someone/something else?
I didn't think we were back, but I thought it was a GREAT opening. I have wondered for a long time if we would see more instances of the same eye-opening beginning we had in the pilot. I have actually wondered if the ending of the show will be marked with that same shot somehow.
I was very curious about Kate's attitude about whatever had happened with Aaron. She seemed really upset. It seems kind of weird that she wouldn't be willing to tell Jack what had happened. He is the kid's uncle, after all. Whatever happened, it must have been pretty horrible, or really secretive. I don't think she just gave him to Claire's mom, otherwise why would she be so hesitant to talk about it?
Mrs. Hawking didn't seem to be affected at all by the news that Dan had sent Desmond to tell her to help them. Perhaps she already knew somehow? She seemed almost like his coming there was a bother to her, or like he was giving her information that she already knew.
I think my favorite line was when Frank looked around and saw everyone and then back and Jack and said, "We aren't going to Guam, are we?"
This was a great episode. I think I'm going to rewatch during lunch. I loved it!

I thought that maybe Ben got in a fight with Sayid in order to get him arrested (thus the handcuffs). The only question would then be why were the police putting him on a flight to Guam.
I'm with sf48erfan...I thought that Ben went and got beaten up by Sayid so that he could get him arrested and on the flight. Who knows, though. I hope he didn't kill Pen.
I do think Des will end up going back, though. But I hope Penny can go with him!
Also, how did Hurley get out of jail?
Oh! Did anyone else think..at the VERY beginning of the show...that we were back to the VERY first episode? My husband thought Jack was dreaming.
