I think this is an unhealthy view of yourself, and Christ doesn't want you to feel despondent and guilt-ridden. Sure we are all imperfect, but the bad-feelings must go.

Have you learned what it means to live in the liberty of Christ? If you really connect spiritually with the Savior the rest will take care of itself in due time. It has taken me 25 years to learn this, and Phillipians is the roadmap.

First decide what things you need to stop thinking about. Whatever produces negative emotions must go!!!! Then think on the right things.

Good post M-B.

The Christian ideals and by extension the religion itself is what seems to be producing the negative emotions here. Christianity is such a depressing religion when you think about it. I mean, if you don't do what I say, I will forever damn you in pits of fire and torture. Even if doing what I say is completely against the nature that I gave you. Have a nice life!

Don't blame God for informing everyone what is about to come to pass. It doesn't make Him the bad guy. It is like killing the messenger just because you do not like the message.

We are not to be depressed because of the sad news, but rejoice because of the good news of the rescue coming. He is trying to position all of us where we are spiritually accepting of His salvation. Kind of hard when you are a consuming fire. But He has figured out a way..... IT is so big and so overwhelming, that it has to be taken in small pieces to start getting the picture of the details He has went through to prepare us for His rescue. But it is so glorious, that we, who know Him, rejoice, and are looking forward to the day... This world grows dim, the attraction of things of earth no longer have their hold, and we look forward to the Kingdom He is bringing.

If us Christians can view it that way we can maybe approach this forum with the righteousness God intended, and we can approach it with the humility deserving of a Christian.

Because, as a Christian, I know that until the day that I die, I will always be crap.

I don't understand the point in this. Isn't it often said that we are both "sinners and saints"? That, at least seems equal. What you are stating does not. It seems unbalanced, even though it is seeking balance.

You might seek to find both in yourself and not focus so much on the negatives.
