Its that time again folks, we are coming up to November, which means it is time for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month http://www.nanowrimo.org/). So who is in this year, who isnt, or are you undecieded about it. I plan to give it another go, never made it to the 50,000 mark yet but maybe this year will be my lucky year.

So those of us who are doing come on in. Introduce yourself and make your self comfy, I have equiped the room with plently of coffee and power points for the long nights on the computer.

Oh and I'm Nat, on the NaNoWriMo site I'm foxyfan, add me and let me know you are from CF and I will become buddies with you.

This is my current synopsis. It should hopefully not change much, at least not until November.

The Heir of Atlantis:

Jonah Davenport was just an average teenager leading an average, mediocre life. Everything changed the day that mythological creatures attack Jonah, seeking the Power of Atlantis. Jonah is in the dark about the Power of Atlantis, and is saved by the school janitor, and family friend, Zeus (no relation to the god). Zeus' intervention is not a coincident; he has been guarding Jonah since his birth, and has kept the Power of Atlantis safe. Zeus tells Jonah the story of his past, a story that is still unfolding now.

Together the duo must journey to Atlantis, the lost city that was never sunk. They must go toe to toe with an evil foe from Zeus' past. All Jonah wants is a normal life, but with Poseidon’s Trident, the true Power of Atlantis at hand, Jonah grudgingly accompanies Zeus and they embark on an epic journey to (hopefully) save Atlantis.

Nah, not me. I have two novels in progress, but I'm a student. I'm not kidding myself. There's no way I can finish a whole book in the next month. I pace myself and write when I can make time. My last novel took me two years. Good luck to all those trying it!

I think I'm going to try it again this year...(I'm not at all ambivalent on the subject, hehe)

I tried it once, four years ago, but I didn't come anywhere close to winning (or whatever), and I've been kind of afraid to try again. Plus November's usually a pretty busy month for me, without the added stress of trying to write 50k words. But I've been thinking about it the last week and even planning a story I've had in my head for a while, so...yeah.

Oh, I'm definitely doing NaNo. I look forward to it all year long :D My name is GoneBlank over there if anyone would like to add me. I don't mind giving people a hand when they're struggling and I love doing word wars. Just send me a message and let me know you're from here :)

Well my attempt was not a success in the word count sense, but I discovered how much I really love writing and that is my true success! :)

Congrats to all who gave it a good go and WOOHOO to those who made it to 50k (or more).
