Today a thought came to mind.....

I want to start off that I am a firm believer in God and that Jesus died for my sins. I am just confused on my thought today as I was working.

If Jesus died for our sins, and know he was going to die than isn't that suicide?? He essentially allowed himself to die knowing it was going to happen through scripture.

What about our souls. We each have a spiritual soul. If you believe in Christ and have faith that if you admit your sins and live for christ you'll goto heaven. What about jesus than? If Jesus is God and God is Jesus, where is Jesus' soul? Is Jesus' soul God?? Was Jesus the only human being without a soul, since he was God and already in heaven??

How then is Jesus praying to God if God was Jesus? He prayed for the people on Earth in the new testimate for many things. Was he praying just for show? To show the people on Earth here how to act?

If you guys need further clarification, I will answer your questions on my thoughts. God Bless everyone!

GOD LOVES you and did not leave you alone without the complete answer to your question:

" 2 Timothy
Chapter 2:

22 So turn from youthful desires and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord with purity of heart. 23 Avoid foolish and ignorant debates, for you know that they breed quarrels. 24 A slave of the Lord should not quarrel, but should be gentle with everyone, able to teach, tolerant, 25 correcting opponents with kindness. It may be that God will grant them repentance that leads to knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they may return to their senses out of the devil's snare, where they are entrapped by him, for his will.

"This way you can free your mind and Avoid foolish and ignorant debates.

These are very good questions! They show a great deal of faith and progress.. They question non biblical beliefs and are a strong indicator of the direction you heart wants you togo!

Keep the Faith, and as 1thess5:21 says Question all things and hole on to what is good!

If Jesus died for our sins, and know he was going to die than isn't that suicide??

One mans suicide is another mans sacrifice.. If a solider jumps on a grenade in a fox hole or in a trench to save the rest of his platoon, doesn't he commit suicide? Or did the reason for the sacrifice out weigh the personal loss? Jesus like the solider, He didn't want to die as evidenced in his prayer to the father in the Garden of Gesimeny.."Father if it be your will take this cup from me." But because is love for us, and the will of the father was stronger than the love he had of himself, and his own will.. He jumped on that grenade.

Suicide isn't the unforgivable sin the "church" or popular christianity has made it out to be. At least not scripturally. Suicide is a sin in that most of the time people who end there life on there own do it for selfish reasons those of which are outside of God's will.. That is the actual sin, not the death itself..

What about our souls. We each have a spiritual soul. If you believe in Christ and have faith that if you admit your sins and live for christ you'll goto heaven. What about jesus than? If Jesus is God and God is Jesus, where is Jesus' soul? Is Jesus' soul God??

A soul as I understand, is a spiritual manifestation of our being... Jesus's spiritual manifestation of his spiritual being would be known to us as God. So As a man his "soul" or spiritual manifestation was a part of the trinity, where ours is not.. That's why we have been labeled souls rather than being classified as some other heavenly form..
So basically a soul is a name or classification of spiritual essence. Jesus's spiritual essence being God.

So he did have a soul, just not exactly like the one's we have.

How then is Jesus praying to God if God was Jesus? He prayed for the people on Earth in the new testimate for many things. Was he praying just for show? To show the people on Earth here how to act?

God is best understood not as a name but as a title.. God the Father, God the Son, And God the Holy Spirit.. So When Jesus Prays "God the Son" Like any son He Goes to the Father. So speaking in titles, the Father has the role as a father here. He would be the head of the house hold, maintaining and resolving issues with in his Family is apart of his duties, as well as being the decision maker and the supreme authority.. So When Jesus prays, He prays to the father as a son ,who approach his earthly father for help or to honor him in his works and deeds..

By doing this he was also setting an example because as followers of Jesus we become children of God, and as children we have many of same rights and responsibilities as Jesus did while we are here in this life.

Recently there was an article on msn that many people in the hospital die alone. The reason is that if a loved one is also in the hospital room, then the terminal sick person doesn't want to die. But when the loved one leaves the room, then the sick person has less reason to stay in the body and they die. So in some way they commit suicide by letting themselves go.

Sometimes you hear about people who give up the fight against a certain disease and then they die. So in some way they committed suicide.

My pastor told the congregation about visiting a very sick woman dying of liver disease. The paster told the woman that it was o.k. to let go and go to God. Like giving the person permission to commit suicide. But the woman recovered and is now well and out of the hospital.

The human spirit is a powerful force when we are just going through life. So also when we approach physical death.

Jesus is in Heaven as the resurrected Son of Man. He is not some 'soulish' entity floating around up there. In 1 Cor 15 Paul teaches us that we will get resurrected bodies just like Jesus has - He was the firstfruit, we follow after Him.

Jesus offered Himself as a sacrifice for us, not as a desperate effort to leave this world as happens with suicide. His body died, but just as when we die, our spirit lives on. to be reunited one day with our resurrected body. Jesus reclaimed His body, now not subject to the Fall and death, and was seen after his resurrection. His death was not like ours in that it was a triumphant victory over Satan as He declared his overthrow of the dark domain by leaving those regions behind.

Remember, Jesus was 2 parts. He was born of flesh (man) but was wholy spirit (Holy Spirit lol) as well. Yes, Jesus knew He was to die but that was of the HUMAN FLESH. Remember, He also rose again! Jesus did not stay dead, but overcame death.

JESUS was and is the SON of GOD. It was not until JESUS ascended up the the KINGDOM of ALMIGHTY GOD that the HOLY SPIRIT was sent:

" John
Chapter 16

7
But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
8
And when he comes he will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation:
9
sin, because they do not believe in me;
10
righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me;
11
condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned. "

Folks do get confused about the HOLY SPIRIT. But GOD'S WORD gives us the guidance we need to have an UNDERSTANDING of HIS WILL.

I think that is an excellent question. To chose suicide means your life has no meaning and that goes against what God says which is he created you for a purpose. See the enemy is always the opposite of God. God is life and the enemy is death. Jesus was a sacrifice and plus he never died. Being in Heaven is the Elite place to be and sometimes earth can be like hell. Now Jesus is back in Heaven living the life we want to live. Earth is not the prize.

We have God's spirit and our soul. God's spirit is with us because of Jesus and our Soul was given to us by God so we have a free mind to chose Him. Jesus had a soul as well because he was tempted and passed his temptation but, he was connected to the Lord. A child of God.

Jesus is not God. When people tried to give Jesus the Glory he inturn gave it to God. Jesus Prayed, Healed, Casted out Demons because thats what needed to be done. Whomever is appointed on earth will learn how to do something in the supernatural by the Holy Ghost because he is the teacher.

All The Glory Belongs To God!
