1 John 2:1
My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.

John 14:26
But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

Our Advocate doesn't plead for you until you repent. He asks the Father's forgiveness because you have come back to the cross of Christ.

That is what Scripture teaches.

Actually no...nothing is said there about repenting before Christ can be our advocate! It says 'if anyone does sin'...it doesn't say 'if anyone does sin and then repents'. You're adding to it.

You are neglecting your end. Everyone needs to repent from sin. Any child of God that wants to be in right standing with his Father will repent.

Am I reading that we can do whatever against God, but because we are Christians, we are covered by Grace, without repentance?

What did Paul say about that? He surely corrected that type of thinking quickly.

Has anyone considered...that while we are in our sinful state where we have walked away from God...that anything that we could possibly ask for in prayer would have the same answer anyway? He will always answer us by bringing us back to the flock...because that is what our prayer is when we are in that state!

So yes he does answer us...indeed! For if he didn't then we'd all be backsliders!

He doesn't answer us the way in which we think he should, and in our sinful state what we 'think' we need isn't what we need...but the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered. We don't know how to pray as we ought ESPECIALLY if we're in the state of sin! But our spirit knows our needs and prays for us...effectually and fervently and our Fathers answers our prayers by bringing us back to the cross...so we repent.

No, but I will google him.
He grew up in a Satanist family and claims all kinds of abuse was done to him. In alot of ways he's very sincere but I think maybe some of the abuse he recieved and also dealt to himself made him very weird. Go ahead and google him, just don't spend alot of time on him. He believes in just about every conspiracy theory there is.

That's a bit off, IMO.

A person who has wandered far from God is not praying to return. He is turned from God, in carnality. He can pray for anything he likes, but unless it's the prayer of repentance and confession, the Holy Spirit isn't 'groaning' on his behalf in that situation.

The Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we entreat God, or worship Him while walking with Him, in the Spirit.

Yes and we will repent...but our prayers are still heard and answered before hand...and if you're in that state then the answer to the prayer is the HOly Spirit leading us unto repentence.

It's never ending....the Father, the son and the Holy Ghost are at work all the time so that we receive the promises of the Father. If we sin...they are at work to bring us unto repentence....we are never EVER left alone or forsaken! That's not what my Daddy does when I stuff up! "Well I'm not going to help you out until you repent" He's helping me get to the point of repentence...and sometimes the healing is taking place BEFORE repentence even happens.

When Christ had the sins of the world on him...OUR SINS he cried "Father why has thou forsaken me"...he bridged the gap so that sin no longer separates us from our Father.

Its hard for me to give alot of credit to an ex-satanist. I still love them like a bother, but something seems wired wrong in there brain that they would accept evil over good.

The man is a Spirit-filled preacher.

Wrong! We aren't praying (or maybe we are...crying out for the Lord for help?) The Holy Spirit is praying for us with the things He knows we want and need! A born again person will not want to do what they are doing...Paul said it himself that he continually did what he didn't want to do. Why didn't he want to do it? If he was sinning then he was obviously not walking in the spirit....and yet...he could still recognised that he didn't want to do it and cried out 'who will save me'...then the answer came in Romans 8...walking the spirit!

So our spirit is crying out on our behalf! Leading us unto repentence and bringing us back to what we should be doing.

Why do you think the shepherd leaves the 99 and goes and finds the one who's gone astray...if he's gone astray then he's not exactly walking right is he? And yet he will be found and brought back to the flock...and disciplined YET AGAIN as to the dangers of wandering off!

Just because I dont believe the story, doesnt mean that it cannot be put to good use. If you believe the story, and it causes you to pray more intensely to make sure the prayer get through. Then I say, Praise God. Also, just because I dont believe it, doesnt mean that I think it has no truth in it.
