Desperately Need A Job

I've been struggling with jobs for the past year now.

I've either been "let go", quit, or on one occasion...gotten fired.

I've prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed some more for guidance, God has not answered.

I just don't understand.

Anyhow, I've been applying to so many places left and right...I don't care to do it anymore.

What really concerns me though is, how will I ever get a job now that I've gotten fired?

I don't like to lie on my job applications.

You'll get a job for two reasons: 1) because God is with you; 2) because some prospective employers are more interested in what you've learned than just in the fact that you were fired.

Get some good job hunting articles off the various sites on the internet; and/or go to your library for books on the same. This material will tell you how to job hunt, how to deal with being fired, and how to evaluate what it is about yourself, and/or your job habits/performance, that has led to your recent history. You need to know this in order to change it.

You are in my prayers.

Unless the job you were fired from makes a major part of your resume, it's not lying at all to exclude it from your resume. A resume shows your successes and achievements, and leaving out a short-term job that didn't work out is just fine!

Praying for you!

"God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear" Psalm 46:1-2

It is times like this when God is closer to us than we know. He will never leave us or forsake us" Be encouraged and pray ask for guidance for your job search. In the mean time God will provide for you.

"My brethren count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the trying of your faith produces patience, but let patience have it's perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing" James 1:2-4

I prayed for you.

In Christ

well, for the Job application I have now, I am not sure whether or not to put the Job I got fired from on there or not.

i don't want to chance anything. if they ask me if I've ever been fired, I'll gladly tell them yes, but if they DO NOT ask me and I DO NOT put it on there, there's a chance it could come up in a background check and i either don't get the job, or later on, get fired.

THIS would be the time for God to provide.

I am tired of doing the wrong jobs.

Heavenly Father, thank you for leading us here in prayer and for all of your blessings. In Jesus name I pray for your perfect will. Lead our brother to the right job at the right time for the right pay. Give him guidance, courage and faith that this is in your hands and give him peace during his wait. Thank you for this and for all you do, Amen!

Check out temp jobs. God sent me to temp job last year...i got hired on full time 8 months later. It was a god given job. I was like you. I had a cruddy, very low paying job that was only part time. I was down cus i just kept putting it off to go to this temp place and get a application. Then one day, when I was feeling down about it. I got a phone call from the temp staffing office. They asked me if id be intrested in working the job that I was plotting on getting anyway.
Im also the type who could never get to work on time. EVER.
But here it is, 1 year later and I make it to work on time.
Even if its just a temporary job....its a job. And on your free time, you could continue your job search. The job market right now is bad though. Noone wants to hire.
But have faith. Youll get a job. Youll be alright. Im praying for ya!

You will be in my prayers.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen
