But...there will be no rapture!!

The Rapture is a Satanic lie that is dividing and destroying the church. Pre Trib, post trib, mid trib?!! It's all dribble!

The Rapture is a lie people!

Well, I guess that settles it, folks! "SlayerofBabylon" says there will be no rapture although he offers no proof whatsoever. Hmmm....whom should we believe?

1Th 4:16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

1Th 4:17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

I do agree that the pretrib rapture is a lie of satan, my question would be, do you believe in the 2nd coming, the resurrection of the just and the catching away of the living saints at the 2nd coming after the resurrection?

I'm fully prepared to face the tribulation(I've had this feeling that I'm going to be killed for a while now) and have come to grips with it...I know when the time comes(if it comes) I'm gonna be scared ****less and probably feel like I can't do it...but I just have to believe that if this is whats going to happen that god will give me strength when I need it(I hope so neways)

that said I am hopeful for the rapture but I won't allow myself to lean on that belief...I like the idea of a partial rapture cause it gives us a reason to get our act together now apposed to after the pain starts(and its harder to make a change before pain then it is after) pain can be a great teacher and motivator

I believe in the Second Coming but I do think the Rapture is more a scare-tactic and determining when it will happen just gives people a reason to get lax before the return where they can repent at the least minute.

I was never raised with the rapture, if it happens to be true well hopefully I get sucked up in my faith in Christ and not my belief in said rapture.

not sure if i'd be that scared.. maybe.. you have to have the assurance of the resurrection. i have thought that i would need to prepare for prison, but havn't thought about the other.. but i am prepared for that. A lot of people seem to believe in this rapture.. there might be some scripture somewhere that proves it, but i havn't seen it.
I'm more hoping that events are further away in the future.. Various things need to happen first, so we still have time, of reasonable normality.

Reading some of these comments are comical! This fellow thinks the rapture of the church of Jesus Christ, a deliverance from the worst time of death, destruction, starvation, and terror in human history, according to one who knows, Jesus Christ, is a scare tactic! How can you deal with this sort of logic?

My advice to you is to find a bible believing independent fundamental Baptist church and start attending. Make sure you are saved and believe what the bible says in the OT as well as the new.

The problem with your plan is that the Bible believing fundamental Baptist churches do not really believe the Bible, they teach doctrine and believe their doctrine whether it lines up with scripture or not.

Took the words out of my mouth, or rather out of my keyboard.

just as Moses led the Israelites through the baptism of the sea, and they went through the sea to the other side, the promised land....the end time tribulation hour will be similar...we must go through it, either protected of God, or not....

but it is the time of testing....no escaping the time of testing, but we can escape the temptataion by being educated, and not been fooled/tempted by Satan when he comes here to earth soon, disguised as Jesus, to fool the whole world...

since we are all changed at Christ's Coming, we should not look for Him here or there until we are changed...simple...

there is no pre tribulation gathering to Christ, and one earlier post ascribes 1Thes4 to the pre trib version, but that is very clearly when the dead return to earth, not years before...it is a post trib gathering spoken of in 1Thes4

Satan comes first to deceive you.....Jesus comes after and we are all changed...

during the end times, Jesus does not come first to rapture some, and then Satan and his fallen angels comes here bringing with him tribulation, then Jesus again...nope...that is not what the Word says.

that is dogma at its worst...a shame...

pre trib sets one up to believe the lies of Satan, who MUST comes first in disguise to fool the whole world. blessed are those who wait, endure to the end and are working for Him when He comes....

Why do you think that so many christians believe in pre-trib? It's so pervasive.. what's going on? I think what you'r saying there is true, like we'll be in some way protected, like the Israelites.. but to go through it.. i agree.

WOW!

That sure cleared up the rapture question. Thank you sir! Who would dare argue with such profundity? Now we can move on to something else!

Where in the WORD do people come up with this ?

The scriptures teach that the man of sin will exalt himself over all that is called God or that is worshipped.

He is not going to be disguised as Jesus... that might be the silliest thing I've heard so far...

Don't take my word for it though... simply find one place in scripture where it teaches that Satan will be disguised as Jesus.
