I thought cell phones had pretty much replaced CB radios.

As for the digital TV thing, that's sort of a broadcasting evolution, like going from 8-track tapes to cassettes to CDs. You don't HAVE to have cable. You can get a low-cost converter box that will convert analog signals to digital.

It seems like stations or regular people could have start up analog stations but they've probably regulated it so that it can't happen.

Wow, no CB radio, huh? The truckers here still use it all the time.[/quote]

No proper CB radio.. it is so unpopular here, that they changed the rules and you dont need a licence now, (but people still ignore it) and it was also the mobile phones. But you cant get out more than 15 miles, so it has very limited use for the roads, as you want to know what's happening say 30 or 40 miles up the road. They were going to use an old VHF frequency, that the pilots in WW2 used, but settled for the naff frequency that we are now stuck with. They'v got proper AM CB radio in Italy. I used to use the CB, but i got fed up with the people on it, saying stuff about me behind my back.. various insults.. and moronic conversations and spite.. might be different if you could talk to people further away.. not stuck with the same boring detritus..

More endtime stuff falling into place.

Here he is laying the ground work to justify turning his back on Israel

More prophecy being fulfilled.

The Obamanation that Causes Desolation

Matthew 24:15-22 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Report: Obama Favors 1949 Border
by Maayana Miskin

United States President-Elect Barack Obama will support the Saudi Initiative for peace between Israel and Arab nations, the British Sunday Times reported Sunday. Obama told Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, “The Israelis would be crazy not to accept this initiative,” according to the Times.

The initiative calls on Israel to withdraw completely to its 1949 borders in exchange for normalized relations with Arab League countries. It includes a full retreat from the eastern half of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount, and from the strategic Golan Heights in northern Israel.

The Saudi Plan has won limited support from President Shimon Peres, who says it could be used to launch negotiations. Other senior politicians and defense officials have dismissed the plan, saying it wold compromise Israel's security.

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Defense Minister Ehud Barak, the heads of the Kadima and Labor parties, have not ruled out the Saudi Initiative completely. However, neither has expressed willingness to give away the Temple Mount or major Israeli population centers located east of Israel's 1949 borders. Approximately 600,000 Israeli citizens live in the areas, including eastern neighborhoods of Jerusalem, demanded for the PA under the Saudi plan.

The plan also calls on Israel to find a solution for the plight of millions of foreign Arabs who claim descent from those who fled Israel during the War of Independence. They are considered refugees by Arab governments and continually have been denied citizenship in their countries of birth.

While proponents of the plan have welcomed the plan as a chance to deal with the refugees without granting them Israeli citizenship, some Arab leaders have warned that any alternative to allowing the millions to “return” to Israel is unacceptable. PA-based terrorist groups such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad are among those who insist that every Arab who identifies as a descendant of a former resident of Israel be allowed to live in Israel.

Abbas: Retreat or War

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas addressed a letter to PA Arabs on Saturday saying Israel must retreat to its 1949 borders or face war. “The passage of years... will not force us to abandon or surrender a single inch,” of Judea, Samaria or Jerusalem, Abbas said in the letter, which was published by PA media.

The letter was sent in honor of PA “Independence Day.” While the PA does not rule an independent country, it celebrates “independence” each year in honor of the PA having declared itself an independent entity 20 years ago.

The treaty which the Antichrist will confirm with many
(Daniel 9:27) could be a treaty which he'll have just
"cut" with a false ultra-Orthodox Jewish Messiah
(Daniel 9:26) after defeating that Messiah (Daniel
11:22-23) in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Antichrist could confirm this treaty with many
(Daniel 9:27) during a speech before the many nations
of the U.N. General Assembly.

The Antichrist confirming this treaty for one "seven"
(Daniel 9:27) could mean that he'll promise to keep
the treaty for at least seven years.

But "in the midst" of these seven years, the
Antichrist could break the treaty, attack a temple
rebuilt by the ultra-Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem, stop
the Mosaic sacrifices performed in front of that
temple, and commit the abomination of desolation
(Daniel 9:27b, 11:31, Matthew 24:15), when he'll sit
in the temple and proclaim himself God
(2 Thessalonians 2:4, Daniel 11:36). The Antichrist
will then rule the whole world for 42 months and make
everyone worship Lucifer the dragon and himself
(Revelation 13:4-18).

---

Before all of that, the three "kings" which the
Antichrist will first gain control of (Daniel 7:24)
could be three nations: Iraq, Syria, and Egypt, which
by that time could have been put together into a
Baathist confederation by an Iraqi Baathist General
after he defeated Israel and Egypt (Daniel 11:15-17;
in verse 17, the Hebrew word translated as "daughter"
is "bath") with a huge Iraqi Army built up by the U.S.
to defeat Iran instead.

The ten "kings" of which the three "kings" are a part
(Daniel 7:24) are all connected with the Roman Empire,
the fourth beast of Daniel 7:23.

The ten endtime "kings" connected with the Roman Empire
could be ten major endtime nations the territory of
which used to be part of the Roman Empire.

The Roman Empire included not only Western Europe, but
also the Middle East and North Africa.

The ten nations could be the U.K., France, Germany,
Italy, Spain, Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and Algeria.

yeah, that's scary but I must say, not entirely unexpected. The man was raised as a muslim in Indonesia and has had muslim leanings...all his life.

does it matter if he's a muslim? as long as he's a patriot (he isn't).. the last one lied about being a christian.. at least this one hasn't played the religion card.. just shows that they can place anyone they want in the top job, regardless of anything.

While we can have joy in knowing things, increasing our knowledge
can also increase our sorrow, for in much wisdom is much grief, and
he that increases knowledge increases sorrow (Ecclesiastes 1:18).

But for Christians, this is not the depression-sorrow of the world
that often leads to suicide (2 Corinthians 7:10b), but the
repentance-sorrow of believers that saves them (2 Corinthians
7:10a) and breaks them off of their love for the world and the things
thereof (1 John 2:15-16, 5:19), knowing that this world and the
things thereof are all doomed to utter destruction (1 John 2:17,
1 Peter 1:24, Isaiah 14:17a, 2 Peter 3:10-13, 2 Corinthians 4:18).
