I don't know if any of you read the Rocks in my Dryer blog, but she recently made a post (actually on parenting.com) that really got me thinking.
Here is the link
My daughter who is almost 3 is exactly the same. I sometimes struggle with all the sacrifices I have to make as a mother. Her whining and crying can drive me up the wall. But then I read posts like that and I think, you know, she's so worth it.
She says in the post that she knew that just being there was making it better and there would come a day when she wouldn't be able to solve all her daughter's problems, but for now all her daughter needed was her, and that was enough. That is so true. They are small for such a short time and instead of being resentful I should be cherishing the time I have with her.
I don't suppose there is really any point to this post except to share that sweet post that maybe will get some of you thinking too.
