After 20 days, Religulous has grossed more than Expelled during its six months in US theaters

Title----------------------------------------------- Lifetime Gross------------ Theaters------- Opening Gross--------Theaters

Religulous------------------------------------------$9,201,458------------------568--------------$3,409,643--------------502
Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed------------------$7,720,487-----------------1,052------------- $2,970,848------------1,052

Funny how despite give aways, pre-screenings and discounts, and much marketing to the religious, Expelled did not manage to attract more audience than Religulous. What is even more ironic is that Religulous outperformed Expelled from the opening weekend with half the theatre count.

In case anyone is wondering, I put this in the C&E forum because I don't believe anyone other than those who frequent the forum would find it interesting.

Heh, Thanks Washington,

Hey BobByers, we found where all of the people on this forum went!!!

http://christianforums.com/showthread.php?t=7299961

By the application of "Byersian logic" from the linked thread above, this would mean that the arguments posed by Religulous clearly have more merit than the argument posed by Expelled... argumentum ad gross-revenum!!!

Redundant information. I know it before they were shown. I will be surprised if it were not the case.

Hmmm. Well, so as not to bore you with redundant information why don't you tell us everything you know so that when me post we can notify you not to bother reading it. After all, we want to make life just as easy as we can for you.

I don't believe you.
Demonstrate with objective empirical evidence that you "knew" this before the movies were shown.
I think you're statement is bovine excrement, and you can't demonstrate otherwise.
(and please please please, dont bring up statements of Jesus and how he said his followers would be persecuted.....heck, ~I~ can come up with a more accurate prophecy than that)

I am surprised you do not know. Just like the situation in this forum, one creationist is usually fighting with 5? 6? or more? atheists. Do you think the situation here is an exception?

I am thankful that there are only a handful of people voiced against me here. In a different country, it could be a 1:1000 situation or worse. So, the statistics you quoted is, in fact, very encouraging.

Correction: On this forum, one often finds one creationist arguing with a dozen or more people who accept evolution, including many Christians. Not all religious people find modern science to be in conflict with their faith.

Do I need to point out the logical fallacy of "here" (Christianforums) vs. "in a different country"...? Anyone? No? Yes? OK, I will, then.

Just a side note.

Coincidentally, yesterday I recevied and watched Expelled. It is just as utterly bad as it's been described as.

If you have Netflex you can download it onto your pc.

That's almost tempting :D
I just fear that it's not worth the bandwidth.

Can you explain why "atheists" here outnumber creationists when atheists represent, at best, only about 16% of the population? While Evangelical Christinas, on the other hand, represnt the largest Christian group in a mostly Christian country?

A trillion electrons scream out in pain
as they hurdle their way from Netflix, to brain
Bandwidth wasted on Expelled nonsense
Time and money lost, without recompense

Why did I choose to watch this bile,
Not even as good as The Jewel of the Nile..?
We'll see if Bill Maher can't remove from my mind
'teh stupid' Ben Stein and his flick left behind

No way I'm going to sit through that rubbish. I saw the trailers, they told me all I need to know. I've heard the arguments before, they are rubbish. And Ben Stein is boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring. Like, really boring. Like, so boring I cannot believe that Americans find him funny. Like, so boring that I dozed off after hearing him speak for more than 10 seconds. Like so boring that I'd probably kill myself if I had to sit through more than an hour of that monotone drone of a voice he has. Watching that would be 90 (?) minutes of doing something when I could have done something that is more interesting, like watching a black tv screen while listening to an annoying beep in the background.

Why did you watch it? What did you think you'd gain?

Sorry, I meant "non-English speaking" countries. Their people do not visit this forum.

Good question. But there is an answer: Because this is a science forum.
You try other non-science forums, the situation is very different there.
That means: Christian scientist is minority, and creation scientist is rare.
