i am new in meditation and quie time so anyhelpful advice will be welcome. hello everyone i am new to this forum.
needing help in getting started in quite time

Let me be the first to say that it is not easy.
I find these forums refreshing - I spend a lot of time on the computer for work, and these forums are a place for me to retreat to, and read the bible, spend some time with the Lord. It's great really.
Note that the devotionals are now on the homepage. What I try to do is post some quiet time stuff online here when I can.
It's a matter of discipline. Start slow, spend 5 minutes a day, then move up to 10, 15 etc. Do it consistently, even if you don't feel like it. Make it a part of your life.
I hope I don't sound too hypocritical - I don't do mine everyday as well, but I try to.

Hi Trust In Jesus - Welcome to the Forums. You could use this time on the computer as your quiet time. But yeah... start slowly...
just maybe pray for a couple minutes a day. read a verse a day. Eventually, when you get a little routine... you will find yourself praying longer and reading more of the bible!! Serious!! But we all have to be disciplined in doing it daily... God wants to know us... so spending time with God everyday gives us this chance to know Him too!!

Repent
Pray for family
Pray for friends
~any issues fits in this spot~

Pray before you read the Holy Scripture ask that you may not wonder your mind off to somewhere else when you read the Holy Scripture.
Try to focus on what the Holy Scripture is saying, do not worry about what is going on in your life as you read the Holy Scripture.

Try reading the Bible from cover to cover. Start from Genesis, and keep going. Read 2 chapters a day. Before you know it, you've done it!

Being patient and consistent is the best way to start your quite time.
Pray for God's leading and think of the many suprises that God has in store for you.
It will get you excited on your quiet time with our God.
