Another Obama Jugend Video

The most unfortunate thing about that video is that it's likely given ammo to the same people who thought that flag lapel pins were a Major Campaign issue. Now that video's probably going to be all we hear about before the election.

What's so bad about it? Kids inspired to do something positive with their lives.

I don't go for paramilitaryish organizations, but a lot of guys seem to like that sort of go-team thing.

Yeah right And if they were, well, different looking kids, and they were inspired by Palin, you absolutely positively would not have said anything about mindless fundamentalist drones.

I just hope you're right. Unfortunately, silly stuff like flag lapel pins and middle names has tended to dominate conversation around here instead of real issues like health care, foreign policy, etc.

Oh no, black people that want to better their lives and see Obama as inspiration. This is horrible! As the Joker says people are going crazy over this video because it's not going according to plan.

That was really dumb. I would laugh, only they are really serious about their Alpha Omega (god)... aren't they?

I have a question or two. They said they were going to, under Obama, take responsibility for themselves. Having said that, will they then, after being inspired by Obama to be architects, engineers, etc, take money Obama gives them that he in turn took from people who actually earned it and use that money for their college tutition? And after praising his healthcare plan, will they get their healthcare plan using money that Obama gives them that he took away from people who actually earned it? And I guess I have a third question. Will Obama someday explain to those youngsters what taking responsibility for themselves actually means?

I liked the first half of the vid. The second half was too much imo. I'm glad African American kids have a role model in Obama. And of course I fully support my tax dollars being invested in education for those that need it.
