As I have been watching the presidential race I keep pryaing that God will send us the leader we need and not the one our country deserves. It worries me though that we are going to get the one we deserve as throngs have begun to follow a man who's credentials scare me.

I agree that we will in all likelihood get someone we deserve. I think what we need is a third party candidate in office. Personally, I'm going to vote for Ralph Nader, but I am thankful towards anyone who is willing to vote for any third party candidate they believe in. Whether they win or not is irrelevant to me at this point. It's more of a demonstration that there are other candidates out there who could do a much better job than what either of the two we will get could possibly do and that maybe more people will vote for the person fit for office versus voting between two incompetent people and somehow hoping that their vote will change America.

But with things crumbling about us in America, inside I know that these things happen because we have forgotten what it is to glorify God.

I'm skeptical of both McCain and Obama. At the least, I might just vote for McCain, as he's in the same political party . . . and he strikes me as being the "lesser of two evils." We need another George Washington or Abraham Lincoln, the current candidates come across to me as either inexperienced, or untrustworthy.

You remember what happen to Rome? I have been around a long long time. I don't like either of the current men who are running. BUT! you got to take the better before Rome burns. I can tell you that I am worried that most will take the wrong man. I like the girl from AK so I will take John.

My vote goes to Obama. McCain is a shady old man - just like Bush. His smile is super creepy. Obama is the first step towards world peace and I pray to God he wins. For the sake of the world, we need Obama.

During the debates Obama answered questions, made some excellent points and comparisions, and acted Presidential. McCain just stared down at his paper and threw out "key words" to excite voters. His performance reminded me of the Family Guy episode where Lois runs for office and captures the audience by saying "9/11" over and over.

You know, this is going to be a very interesting election year. I am not sure about either man running for President, but I am even less sure about Obama. It scares me that he might get the office!! There is something almost........welllll...........ominous that I feel when watching him debate. This is not a good thing. Anyway, at the risk of getting my hair blown back :p, that's it. May God have mercy on us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There you have it, folks, the average Obama supporter- voting against McCain because he's a shady old man, and his smile is super creepy.

I love how there's not a single word related to the candidates policy prescriptions.

You may be on to something about the world peace thing. I believe it is the Anti-Christ who is suppose to bring world peace. If a man achieves it then it is not form God. He is the only one who will bring peace to this world.

Personally my vote is going for McCain. I believe Sarah Palin is a great VP. Also any man who says that knowing when life begins is above his pay grade is not someone I would follow as a leader.

Its simple protect the life of the unborn. If you can't do that you have no right leading anyone else.

I'm learning this election just how much tunnel vision many of my Christian brothers have.

Funny, I agree with what you say but I am sure from a different perspective than you. It amazes me how many Christian brothers blindly follow where the liberal media guide them.

Tunnel Vision is not always bad. It depends what the focus of your tunnel is. For me the most important issue is protecting the unborn. All teh otehr issues are secondary. Yes I have tunnel vision but I do not see that as bad.

I am watching from over the pond. I have seen bits of Pailn being interviewed and she seems more stupid than Dubya if that's possible. Unfortunately I can't post links yet.

If God did choose her then he really does work in totally unfathomable ways - or he doesn't like Americans (And the rest of the world for that matter given American foreign policy).

What difference does it make? lets remember what happened to the Israelites in the day of Samuel when they cried out for a king. The people will get the government that they wish. I already have a king and will follow Him. I'll let the populace decide what figurehead they wish to sit in the oval office

Even still we should be praying that God puts into office a person who we need and not what we deserve. I would much rather have a David then a Saul.
