I saw this film and can’t tell you what it’s done to change my attitude toward my wife. Yes, it was funny, entertaining, exciting, but by the time you wipe your tears at the end of the movie, all you can think about is “what can I do to Love my spouse more?” How many times do you walk out of a movie like that?

I came to this forum specifically looking to see if anyone had posted this thread! Thank you for making it! (I meant to a while back, but forgot!)

I'm taking a group of students from my school to see this movie.

Please, anyone that can see it really has to. It's opening on a limited release, meaning only a few cities. But, if this movie does well opening weekend, it can be released in more theatres later. As far as I heard, this is a touching film that really will help marriages.

I hope you all will be able to see it!

Here's a link to the website:

Thanks again for posting this thread! I'm curious, has anyone else seen this movie yet? I'm very interested in reviews, although so far I've only heard positive things.

God bless,
~Phoenix

Just got back from watching it. EXCELLENT movie! As a Facing the Giants fanatic I can most definitely say this new one of theirs is going on my favorites list as well. :) Even though it focuses on marriage, it can really be applied to relationships of all kinds. Also I think its awesome that when it came time for Kirk Cameron to kiss his "wife" in the movie he asked that his REAL wife be substituted in. :) But yeah, I loved it from beginning to end and cried and laughed and enjoyed it thoroughly through and through. Gave me alot to think about. I highly recommend it!

I saw it tonight! It was awesome! I saw an interview with Kirk Cameron where he said that he has it in his contract that he won't kiss anyone but his wife. So, there is this scene in the movie that requires a kiss, and the way he did it was that his wife came to the set and wore the dress the actress was wearing, and he kissed his wife in that scene so it looked realistic, and he stayed faithful. I thought that was so cool!

As soon as I saw the previews, I emailed all my friends.
Haven't went to see it yet.

This movie won't get any publicity, so we all need to spread the word.
(Kirk Cameron as a firefighter? Never would have thought him as the fireman part.)

I thought it was a great movie! I didn't think the acting was wooden at all. In fact, I was really surprised by how mad Kirk Cameron seemd to get, he really looked like he was furious at the beginning of the movie. I bet somebody could take that idea about the 40 days thing and do it about any situation not just a husband a wife. Like kids with parents, friends with friends, like that.

We ended up buying the movie Facing the Giants, and we'll probably buy this one too when it comes out on dvd. I think my family's watched it a gazillion times, and we could probably say the dialoge right along with the people on the movie.

Anyway, I recommed seeing Fireproof.

i saw this past week and the movie was awsome. i plan to buy it when it come out on dvd. i husband also enjoyed it even though he has not been an active christian. i looked up the production company who directed it and they have only done three movies, Fireproof, Facing the gaints and a movie called Flywheel which is about a used car salesman who overprices his car. i plan on seing this one this weekend. you can find it at most blockbusters.

I still havnt seen this movie. My mom and sister both saw it on a trip to Nashville, TN and said the acting was awful, but the beauty and message of the movie totally overrules the bad acting. I cant wait to see it. I love Kirk Cameron. I will probably have to wait until it comes out on DVD to see it though. It's not playing anywhere near by.
