Linda and I had a wonderful day with three of our grandchildren yesterday. We took them to Indiana Beach, which is not actually a beach (though it is on a large lake) but an amusement park. The kids all loved it, and each got grandpa on some of the rides with them.

Our oldest grandson is having a hard time right now. He loves the farris wheel, and the girls didn't want to go. So, he and I rode the highest one I've seen five times. He said more than once that he was happy for just the two of us to spend time together.

Anyway, it was a great day all the way around, and God blessed us in it.

Sounds like a wonderful day. I have had a lovely week away from my family. I think it was just what i needed. I head home today. I have had wonderful fellowship with all my sisters and with extended family. I even got to go to Banff National park here in Alberta for two days. Lovely. I hope to post some of my picutes on another thread when I get back home. Hope everyone is ok and have had a good week too. Jan

We live in an apartment complex, and our little Shih Tzu, Chewie, is a major hit with the children. He's gentle and loving, and assumes that everyone is his friend.

There is a special needs girl, who is in a wheel chair, and is unable to sit erect. She often points at Chewie and smiles, but hasn't wanted me to get him close enough for her to pet him; until yesterday. Yesterday, when she saw Chewie, she patted her lap. Her mother said, "she wants to try it." So, I picked him up, and held him close to her. His tail was going a mile a minute, but, he held very still otherwise. She patted his head, and, when he licked her hand, she laughed.

In keeping with the nature theme of the last couple posts, I thank God for this wonderful little good will ambassador!

That is such a lovely story Michael as a person who has worked with people with physical and cognitive limitations I truly appreciate your little ambassador dog. (and you for being observant for opportunities to encourage).I am positive that contact did much to delight your neighbours daughter and to increase her self confidence. Jan
