The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Hot choc sounds good to me... just had a mug of coffee so am feeling a bit more awake now, huzzah. But hot chocolate just sounds yum right now. 
I'm doing okay I guess. Went to two libraries today and "dosed myself up" with books. Only a week and a half til uni starts back up, guess I'd better hustle and read loads before then, right? And then only a month and a half til I get married. 
Talk about scary... but I am excited as well. Nervous, excited, scared, worried... but I am sure that we will work through any problems that we run across. We'll make it. J&I are both bullheaded enough that if we work together, we will fight through any tough patches.
And he is learning about bipolar!! which is so exciting, to see him taking the initiative to learn about my illness.

Im good just treading along and trying to find the best side of things. Positivity is key!
My husband is doing well!!!! Thanks for asking We are TTC, and at times I feel its a bit too soon since Ive just been in recovery for 6 mths....but for some reason I feel so much more alive than I have ever been and we are feeling called by the Lord to go this route...so we are just waiting to see whats in store. How are ya and Jarrod?

We're getting married on eleventh October. I am so excited! but nervous. J&I just worked out a budget and it was a bit stressful for me, since I hate money and it's going to be hard adjusting to where I have to be careful with every penny that I spend. But we're going to be fine. I definitely am looking forward to living with him, though, and being his wife...
What's TTC? *feels dumb* Hehe.
Jarrod and I are doing well as a couple, though. Thanks for asking!! The marriage prep stuff is a little stressful (fifty four days and counting...); he considers it to be "crunch time" and so is getting a little keyed up about it... but oh well. Next weekend he's buying our bed (we went bed-hunting on Saturday
) and getting some basic household items, and weekend after that we're going to look for wedding rings.
And - joy of joys - I just found out this morning that I can have a hamster in our apartment!! My hamster, Molly, just died and I miss her... but it is going to be nice to be able to have a pet. Definitely am looking forward to that.
* Soulwings fixes coffee for whoever wants some, and nestles down in a squishy armchair to read for awhile...

Arnold somehow knocked the old coffee maker off the counter and sat on it. Silly bear. And yes, the new one does make a nicer cup, I think.

I'm up this early because a dream woke me up. I hate anxiety... arghh! And uni starts tomorrow (er, rather, today, in a matter of hours!! Four hours and forty minutes to be exact)... and I am worried about that. I'm taking four classes, so it shouldn't be that bad, but they are all T/Th and therefore seventy-five minutes long each!! And I only have one break from eight thirty in the morning to three forty-five in the afternoon. Heh. Everyone is telling me I am crazy for making up this schedule...

I was driving too fast today. A symptom of a (hypo)manic episode is "reckless behavior." Ta-daa!
We had our second premarital counseling session today. Yey! We get to read a Christian book on sex now.
Uni is... challenging. But I am going to love one of my classes, the anthropology one - at least, I'd better! because I think I'm going to hate the others.

Have done lots of work for uni today. Homework homework homework. I am sharing the most difficult text with a friend, on medical anthropology... am looking forward to the course, as I said, but this particular book is evil. I'm going to have to sit down and outline this afternoon. Blech.
Not as tired as I was yesterday, thankfully. But I feel babbly so I'd better shut up!
