just wondering....

does anyone ever feel that no matter how much you tell your lady/man that you love them you will never be able to find the words to really let them know how you feel. not in the "i love you (but really i dont mean it )" way but in a "i love you (but thats totally an understatement)" way.

maybe its just cos we are in a long distance relationship and its harder to get it across to my fiancee. just wondering if people in a "normal" relationship feel like that too.

so break out your sappy side and let us know how you let your loved one know you love them with all your heart.

(ps. i love you :p ^_^ im sure you'll read this when i link you to it haha)

I always feel inadequate when I tell my boyfriend that I love him. He is so good with words and tells me that he loves me and all of the ways that he loves me and how he'll love me for the rest of my life and all that sappy stuff :p. When I say "I love you too" it sounds so inadequate and lacking, but I love him more than i could ever explain to him or to anyone else, for that matter.

Same here....Sometimes it really does seem like "I love you" just isn't enough. And being long distance, I can't just not say a thing and kiss him lol.

Kinda like the song Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.

But I'm sure he knows how I feel anyway......And I know he has moments like that too.

I love that song. John (fallenangel) put that on one of the mix CDs he's sent me in the post. ^_^

I know how you feel about the long distance thing though. John & I had a discussion about this just a little earlier actually. It's so much different when we're able to see each other because he can just hug me or kiss me to display his affection.

Of course, when we DO actually see each other, it's sooo much more amazing because we've missed all the opportunities, you know? Lots of hugs & kisses to make up for the months without. Hahaha.

aww, thanks! you're right, I know that he feels it. He tells me that it doesn't matter how I say it (elegantly or not) it means the world to him to hear it, and it's never said insincerely. He says he'll never tire of hearing it, lol.

that's totally how my relationship is..... but he knows i do love him tremendously. i guess maybe it's all about love languages :)

wow, i definately know what you mean.
"i love you" gets a little old sometimes, and when my boyfriend and i say it too often, it kinda seems meaningless although we are both so in love.
we both usually do something special for eachother to express our love.

We often tell one another that we love each other (because it's true :) We've developed a deep friendship and love over a year and a half) and sometimes we confess that there aren't words enough to describe our love for one another, and that that's probably a good thing, because if those words existed, we would be afraid to confess just how much we love one another :blush:^_^
