I sure most of you are aware that each country that hosts the Olympics can included a Guest sport and if popular it may become a recognised Olympic sport.

So just for fun, if you where hosting the Olympics.........

What would be your chosen sport

Swimming event - Flume Racing

or

Air Hockey - the type found in Amusement parks.

What do you suggest for 2012 then, he4rty?

Talking about the weather?
Standing in a queue?
Eating fish and chips (although these days I suppose that should be a Chicken Tikka )
Complaining - preferably about the government, but anyone will do?

I never really was one for sport, although I loved long distance running when I was at school. Can't do it now though. :(
Is there a sport called "Driving round Tescos on my mobility scooter on a busy Saturday afternoon, without running anyone over"? ^_^ I'm good at that.

For 2012,

Try to make a London commuter smile (yes, I'm a north-of-Watforder ;) )

I can't wait until the Olympics are hosted here in Iowa. I'm looking forward to the Corn-Shucking event.

I love it...Corn-Shucking!!!! Thanks for the smile FaultySurplus. Coming from a fellow Iowan, I love it.

And I'd like to add crutch-races...see how far people can go with a pair of crutches before they get to exhausted to go on. The crutches must be used properly. (Although it might be interesting to see people wobble around.) I DO WANT TO SAY THAT I USE CRUTCHES FROM TIME TO TIME and have used them in the past for a good number of months. :D

For a winter sport how about walking on ice...bonus points could be awarded for walking safely from point A to B or for the best fall...high points for stuck landings! :p Snow shoveling might be intersting too. How long does it take to shovel a driveway and sidewalks in (or after) a full-blown blizzard? Bonus points for helping neighbors.

This has been fun!! I'd better stop before I add even more!

:thumbsup::thumbsup:'s for this thread!

Blessings to you!

Coming from North of Watford as well but close enough to London for day trips, then we could introduce tube station racing, the event where you have to visit all the tube stations in London in the quickest time and yes if you google it I'm sure you'll find a world record for this event.

Nah--the standing "frozen mullet" throw, or the standing "gumboot" throw!:)

Be blessed in Jesus' Name.
