It looks good for such an early stage but what they have shown is a bit worrying. The action is slower and less frantic than D2. There's even a rainbow in one screen shot for Belial's sake! If they can kick up the carnage a notch I'll be happy. That and more storage space!

The story will be awesome. Odds are it's going to involve the High Heavens since Tyrael is all over and the tagline is "And the Heavens shall tremble." My guess is that the Prime Evils renew the Sin War and invade Sanctuary and even the High Heavens. Although knowing Blizzard the High Heavens may decide to destroy Sanctuary (They almost did once if not for Tyrael) and the humans will be fighting against both the angels and demons.

Bul-Kathos said:
The Three Brothers will be reunited as the mortal world trembles before their might. And so it was foretold that the Three, once reunited, would be shattered again— Their defeat would be illusory—that the final gambit had yet to be played..."

My guess is we are looking at a 2010 release date. Which will be tought, but Blizzard basically only releases quality games. So I'll wait.

I've always thought they should have named Diablo 3 "Tyrael's Revenge" as I'm convinced he's the master mind behind much of the mayhem in the Diablo world.

Well, blizzard should have the money to make it good and it looks ok this far. Only thing is the silly name. Why would they name it Diablo (spanish for devil)? It really sounds like a low-budget game that will never sell, with a title llike that.
And the game is kind of about killing creatures sent from hell? Yah, that could have something to do with it as well...

And considering the Diablo series is one of the best selling PC games of all time, I doubt that Blizzard is worried about it sounding like a low budget game that won't sell. :p

I was watching the video blizzard put out of the gameplay, and it looks like a lot of fun. I was hoping they'd eliminate the over-clicking that you did in the first two games, but it looks to still be all point and click driven.

The armor also looked awesome. I like the idea of carrying flaming swords and perhaps arrows as well.

Any thoughts? Looks pretty good to me, but I doubt my computer will be able to run it. The Witch Doctor looks kinda cheesy to me, too. Otherwise, looks like a lot of great improvements made to an already classic series.

Yeah, you may need a fairly decent video card...I'm not sure though, Diablo has never really needed a great computer.

Blizzard is a genius when it comes to making money as well as top notch games (they've only ever had one bad game associated with their label, Starcraft Ghost, and that wasn't made by their development house). Pretty much everybody that plays video games on PC (with the exception of certain christians out there) will pick up any of Blizzards main line games (Warcraft, Starcraft or Diablo). Knowing that everybody wants to play their games, Blizzard makes the required specs very low, so that as many people as possible can play it. It's one of the things I love about them (That and their habit of also always releasing Mac/PC simultaneously.
