"Sins of the fathers" is biblical principal of the fall, that explains how sin was passed down from the time of fall to generations of people in the future, through to the present. On one level it is simply humans teaching humans through behavior and family relationships, over and over again. Like how rage can pass on from generation to generation, eventhough the orginal rage in a family began because the original parent had an alcholism problem and learned to use rage to control his people so he could keep using alcohol. Well, there is also a spiritual component to rage, anger with a life of its own so to speak, really often with a negative spirit influenced life. Talk to people who have seen a lot of non-substance abuse rage, something, someone extra is there, its palpable. So the short of is I am saying evil spirits move through human families, even through the generations. Look up and study "sins of the fathers" in the bible.

Must... not... be... sarcastic....

Hey, this has already sailed past mere wackiness and is coming up on L. Ron Hubbard-level lunacy. Now we're talking past lives and spirit ancestors. Next we'll be hearing about how the Luo were brought to Earth 134 billion years ago in giant 747s built by an evil galactic overlord.

Satire, of course, but not too far off the mark...

Times Online said:
And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness.
The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow.
When he was twelve years old, they found him in the temple in the City of Chicago, arguing the finer points of community organisation with the Prophet Jeremiah and the Elders. And the Elders were astonished at what they heard and said among themselves: “Verily, who is this Child that he opens our hearts and minds to the audacity of hope?”
In the great Battles of Caucus and Primary he smote the conniving Hillary, wife of the deposed King Bill the Priapic and their barbarian hordes of Working Class Whites.

That whole column is hilarious....

but scary that Americans are viewing him as the messiah.

Europe certainly isn't fooled...Germany was fooled once before by an egomaniac that wanted to rule the world.

Except of course, for this one guy our wonderful media keep showing over and over and over and over and over and....

Well, the media seems to think he is. Haven't you seen all the messianic imagery of Obama in this thread?

only here though...check out what "the Jerusalem Post" had to say:

Caroline B. Glick is the deputy managing editor of the Jerusalem Post and the senior fellow for Middle East Affairs at the Center for Security Policy. Her book, Shackled Warrior, Israel and the Global Jihad was released earlier this year. She took questions from National Review Online editor Kathryn Lopez on Friday about Barack Obama’s visit to the Mideast.

Kathryn Jean Lopez: Am I wrong in saying that Barack Obama did not impress Israel?

Caroline Glick: Israelis are very caught up with our local news right now. Foremost on our national agenda are the seven criminal probes being carried out against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, the political maneuvering surrounding those investigations, and the expectation of new elections or some governmental shake-up in the wake of Olmert’s likely indictment on fraud charges. Consequently, Obama’s visit didn’t evoke any deep-seated interest in Israel.

At the same time, he didn’t make any serious mistakes during his visit so to the extent he made any impression, he made a positive one. There is trepidation in Israel about the statements he has made about Iran and the division of Jerusalem and his associations with anti-Semites like Rev. Jeremiah Wright. But the media wasn’t given much opportunity to challenge him on these points and so the trepidation was not dispelled. But again, Israelis by and large just weren’t that into him.

Lopez: What was the point of the trip there so far as you can tell?

Glick: The point of the trip was clearly to shore up support for Obama among American Jewish voters. It is hard to know whether he was successful in doing so or not, although he certainly didn’t hurt himself among those who already support him.

His repeated assertions of his commitment to Israel’s security were repeatedly contradicted by the policies he wishes to adopt if elected. On the one hand he opposes permitting Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, but on the other hand, he insists that the way to make this happen is to sit down and talk to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who has made annihilating the Jewish state one of his main goals in office. He says he understands Israel’s need to protect its citizens from terror attacks but then he says that Israel’s interests are served by strengthening the Palestinian terror groups by extending Palestinian sovereignty from Gaza to the West Bank. Gaza is ruled by jihadists from Hamas who are bankrolled, trained and armed by Iran. How are Israel’s interests served by importing jihadist control to the outskirts of Tel-Aviv and to Jerusalem?

Then again, like Israeli Jews, American Jews are not too caught up in details. He said he supports Israel and got his picture taken at Yad Vashem and the Wailing Wall wearing a kippa. So he probably succeeded in pulling more American Jews into his camp of supporters.

Lopez: How close did you get to the “messiah”?

Glick: I generally try to stay as far away as I possibly can from people who say they can make oceans recede. Our paths didn’t cross. In fact, I managed to be out of the country on Wednesday.

Glad to see SOMEONES taking a more critical look. A German media outlet published a gushing
report from one of it's journalists who was at the gym when Obama showed up.

She worked out next to Obama, and it was worth a story, you see. He can lift 32 kg,,,WITHOUT EVEN SWEATING!

Ah Dang! Stop that! My right elbow turned Mooslim! Had to write this with my left hand because my left arm is stuck to the floor in the direction of Mecca.

Can you please invoke Jerry Falwell a few times? Maybe I'll be able to get my elbow off the floor and get to bed. Otherwise the hardwood floor is my bed tonight.

That whole column is hilarious....

but scary that Americans are viewing him as the messiah.

Europe certainly isn't fooled...Germany was fooled once before by an egomaniac that wanted to rule the world.

Polls in the United States don't seem to show people thinking of Obama as a Messiah, I think we're still trying to size him up and waiting for the debates. It's nice to hear someone who can think in complete sentences and speaks well, it's good to hear someone speaking of working together and solving our problems, we want to know him better before we leap completely. (Fair notice: I'm an independent, but I'm moving further into the Obama camp. He can still lose me, but I'm enthusiastic about what I see so far.)

On the other hand, Europe, usually quite skeptical of American politicians, seems to be going wild over him.

I just did a spot check of newspapers and magazines that I used to read when I lived there. Here's what I saw (I lived in Berlin for 8 years, I read German media at the time, I am not as familiar with the English papers I quote from.)

Heres the account from Der Spiegel, which was the best selling political magazine at least when I was in Germany:

http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,567919,00.html

No. 44 Has Spoken

By Gerhard Spörl

Anyone who saw Barack Obama at Berlin's Siegessäule on Thursday could recognize that this man will become the 44th president of the United States. He is more than ambitious -- he wants to lay claim to become the president of the world.

It was a ton to absorb -- and what a stupendous ride through world history: the story of his own family, the Berlin Airlift, terrorists, poorly secured nuclear material, the polar caps, World War II, America's errors, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, freedom. It's amazing anyone could pack such a potpourri of issues into the space of a speech that lasted less than 30 minutes.

So what sticks? That Barack Obama is a passionate politician who is fixated on -- and takes very seriously -- his desire for a better world. That he is an impressive speaker who knows how to casually draw his audience into his image of the world -- one who doesn't have any need to resort to the kind of cheap effects that tend to prompt the uproarious applause of an audience. That he is a typical American -- an idealist in the true spirit of the American success story who is now very casually making his claim to becoming something akin to the president of the world.

This is surprising for a variety of reasons. Der Spiegel is usually a bit cynical, especially about American political figures, and appeals to a very educated crowd. For them to give credit to an American candidate for a solid grasp of and presentation of world history shows that they see substance in him, a grasp of the workings of history that they certainly did not credit our current president with.

There's the photo shoot with Angela Merkel, who had denied Obama's request to speak at the Brandenburg Gate, and who looks definitely charmed by the man - and Angela Merkel is one tough cookie, who is not easily duped. You can see this as part of this spread:

http://www.tagesspiegel.de/medien/cme1,222816

Today's article in Der Tagesspiegel talks about how Obama's speech not only resulted in great enthusiasm among his fans, but was a tremendous advertisement for the city of Berlin. (It uses the 200,000 figure too, incidentally.) If you read German, you can see it here:

http://www.tagesspiegel.de/berlin/Obama-Besuch;art270,2579689

The Sueddeutsche Zeitung has an article speaking of the German longing for the "good American", a return to the America that lived up to its ideals:

http://www.sueddeutsche.de/politik/373/303368/text/

It also complains that Obama was not allowed to speak in front of the Brandenburg Gate, making a sideways reference to Michael Ballack.

Here's another English language account from The Local:

http://www.thelocal.de/13285/20080725/

I've only looked at about 7 newspapers from Germany. But they generally do seem amazingly enthusiastic about Obama, especially considering that they are German newspapers speaking of an American politician.

Jonathan

P.S., and Der Focus has this spread showing the "promises of love" between Obama and France's prime minister:

http://www.focus.de/politik/ausland...rkozy-liebesschwuere-in-paris_aid_320332.html

The Luo is a culture in Kenya, with about 13% of the population in it. Read the Bible, and you can know that God has been allowing people for the most part to learn the consequences of not having a relationship with him, and instead practicing paganism and the rest, up to a limit of freedom he defines. So Luo people have the option to go the way of paganism, spiritism, islam, or Christianity, but with all the consequences. So it doesn't change the fact that following ritualistic spiritism naming ceremonies will have all the consequences of an ongoing relationship with a so called ancestral juogi demon spirit.

Read a book by Neil T. Anderson, he is a very logical Christian realist who knows all the the facts and circumstances, and consequences of relationship with demons, and he knows what it takes to shake them off if it is a generational curse. To shake them off requires deliberate renouncement of all the elements of the relationship with that spirit, and a firm commitment to vanquish any attachment to the demon due the emeshment with them. It would require like a counter Christian ceremony of prayer where the Christian renounces all the elements, including evemchanging the name of the individual like in the case of Senator O. Imagine being named Senator Beezelbub and realizing that you have a spiritual attachment through that name, and then NOT seeing the benefit of changing your name, kinda says the allegiance to that juogi is more important than relationship to God, doesn't it?

Unlike some Christian authors, Neil T. Anderson explains how even nominal christians can still have emeshment with demons.
