So, this is our portion of the board for non-believers? I guess this is just where I fit in. More of the information is in the intros part and in my profile, so ask for anything else. I'm 18 years old, Theistic Satanist flip-flopping to atheism. For now, I've settled more towards atheism.

Hey all,

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I go by Blue and I'm a practicing Neo-Pagan. Some of my favorite pursuits are philosophy, civilization and religion. So I'm very interested in discussing ideas and even more asking questions. This looks like a very friendly forum for this.

I'm really interested to see how here in the United States, with most of our populace identifying itself as Christian, we can have a good exchange of ideas with other religious traditions and non religious such as atheist or agnostic. What I'm really interested is how we talk to each other and set up laws and guidelines that are based on our moral and ethical beliefs, and how we can come to compromise and come to agreements. Its kind of a pet intellectual exercise of mine.

I'm new, so howdy, I'm AV. I'm 25, a biochemist with anthropologist leanings, currently trying to finish up a Ph.D so I can finally and at long last take a breather from higher education. Religiously, I'm a Norse Heathen personally, sometimes called Asatru, but I'm interested in other religions. My philosophy on religion can be summed up in the words of an old venerable Rabbi when asked to recite the whole of the Torah: "That which is abhorrant unto you do not unto another. The rest is commentary."

I've been a member of this forum for a while. I decided to disconnect myself from this site for months, and for the longest time I have struggled with my beliefs, even when I argued for them on this very site. Many of you may have known me for defending christianity.

However, I've returned now because I have finally reached a resolution concerning my christian beliefs. In that I have no more christian beliefs.

It was hard for me to accept, but I no longer believe christianity to be anything more than a spiritual scam. False, in other words.

You're looking at a Satanist now. Not sure if I'm allowed to use the S-word, mods, but it is the truth. And I can only speak the truth, no?

Don't worry though, I won't be starting up any recruitment threads for Satanism or anything. I'm too new for that anyway.

But I won't be supporting christianity any longer. It is the organization of a false god bent on keeping people from experiencing true joy in life by guilt tripping them all the time.

Sorry for the mini-rant. But here I am.
