doji, wow, that is great that you get the little critter so quickly.

What movie were you guys going to see? Lunch and a movie sounds so great, actually better than evening time. Usually I am too tired by nightfall to do anything, but had not considered lunchtime!

Hope you guys had a blast.

It was a lot of fun. We saw Hancock. (Kaykay...it had a lot of language. ) If they took the language out of it, it would have been a really great movie.

After we saw the movie, we went to the bird store. This is not a lovebird...we got a sun conure this time. (Look them up on google images, they're gorgeous!) They had two in stock. One of them is older and just came from another pet store. The other one is only four months old...it was at the store when we were there last time, but the person who had it on hold backed out. We decided on the four-month old. She is really friendly. The other one would duck away from your hand if you even put it close to the cage. We wanted to get a bird that would be relational and would want to be around us. Our other bird was so rarely in the cage that she was really like another member of our family. That is our goal for this one, too. She has many different colors on her. Right now she has a lot of green, her head is yellow and orange. Her tail is dark green with blues under the tail and wing. As she gets older, she will lose some of the green around her face and back and turn more golden yellow with orange. With all of the bright colors, we decided to name her Skittles.

I'm glad it's Friday!Hopefully, we will have a more relaxed week-end than last. (We had the big b-day party/barbecue at our house last week-end.)

I DID just look up the sun conures. They ARE really beautiful and colorful!! Excellent name~~Skittles! How'd the "baby" do overnight???

We had a great time on our little two day getaway..shopped til we dropped Soaked in the pools and hot tub, and enjoyed a couple shows..

We are going to book three days at a "Christmas Hotel" there in November..The hotel is actually Christmas themed year round including the rooms and suites..We are going shopping and wrap our gifts there in our suite and just enjoy mom and daughter time out I are working on getting all three girls together with me then..Diana (youngest) just couldn't get away this time..

Oh, that sounds wonderful! Can I come?! Can I come?! I am a BIG Christmas person and I have always wanted to something like that.

We browsed a lot of the Christmas shops and picked up some personalized ornaments..My oldest daughter is the one who will be "gramma" in November..She is 41..She says she wants to be called 'Nana" because it sounds dignified We have been teasing her about teaching her grandson to call her "Granny Smith" (smith being her married name) so we found an ornament of an old woman rocking a newborn and had it personalized "Granny Smith 's first" She loved it

Anyone else experiencing many multiple emails of the same post? Whenever there is a new post here I get about 10 emails right in a row of the same post..always have..anyone else getting them in bunches like thar?

I can't say because I re-set my options not to receive e-mail notification of postings. (My account is synced with my work e-mail and I have probs with my e-mail getting too "large" as it is.)

You can report it in a place called "bug reports" if you want to.
