Tues. night I couldn't go to sleep. I'm thinking this is why. It kept going over in my head that I needed to tell DD that she didn't have to go in front of the church to be saved. She has been asking questions about salvation and prayer. Last night on the way to church I talked to her about getting saved. I told her that I got saved at home and it doesn't have to be a major production although it can be if you want to go in front of the church. Anyway, during church she asked me if I could save her. I told her I would certainly pray with her. She wanted to wait until we got home. She mentioned it a few more times. I told her *I* couldn't save her but I could pray with her for her to be saved.
On the way home she mentioned it again. I told her that *I* couldn't pray the prayer for her (sometimes she'll ask me to say her prayers so she won't have to speak outloud). I told her she would have to say the actual prayer herself. She told me she didn't know what to say. I told her that she could talk to Jesus just like she was talking to me and all she had to do was ask Him to forgive her of her sins. She says, like on that Oxi-Clean commercial where they take the stains out? What an analogy!
We prayed when she got home and asked Jesus to come into her heart! We are so happy that she made this decision. Anyway, I just had to share!
