Is there such a thing as the perfectly safe life? If you seal yourself in doesn't that seal out those who would assist if you develop some idiopathic medical problem. Wouldn't it only be perfectly safe if you seal some experts and their equipment with you? Is it safe to one's mental health to be perfectly safe? Oh wait... mental health problems come from not having enough faith.... so safely sealed in people should be fine..

I not saying there dangerous by themselves and for procreation. Im saying its dangerous to put your MOUTH there where you are able to orally digest dangerous forms of bacteria like e-coli, feces, menstural waste, and salmenella by doing that. Both of which can kill you and cause a tremendous amount of pain.

You also realize that people have been having oral sex since time immemorial, and I haven't yet heard a report of someone getting salmonella or e. coli from their partner, right?

But happily, my husband and I know what soap is for and how to use it.

EDIT: Has anyone really been killed by e-coli or salmonella contracted via oral sex? I'd love to see statistics on that one. Yikes!

As a member of the Deep Throat Elite, I'd like that state that I have not gotten ill from being too close to the urethra, and I am still cancer-free.

Though the first time I did it, my throat was a little sore the next day.

I'd say that traditional intercourse is way more dangerous. I've only done it once, and BAM! I got my first UTI ever.

If oral sex is giving people cancer, I would stop using asbestos condoms.

I'm not as much for receiving, but I certainly won't protest if someone wants to do it to me. I'd probably enjoy it more if someone was good enough at it that I could actually get off, since that hasn't happened yet.

I love giving, though, and I don't expect anything in return when I do.

Maybe get them to watch an instructional video off the net or something. A few years back there was a video doing the rounds where I lived of very graphic techniques to use on a woman. It was probably one of the best videos I've ever watched. I later tried out what I'd seen on my girlfriend and afterwards she was like "why didn't you ever do it like that before?"

Giving it is nice, it takes getting used to because you have to learn do it without your jaws getting tired. That can take some time, but I'm someone who likes receiving it more.

While we're on the subject, it would be nice if someone could provided some specific statistics of people getting throat cancer for giving oral sex. I've never heard of that happening.

Same for me. Intercourse is fun, but a little too distracting for me since I'm concentrating more on lasting than in simply enjoying myself.

Receiving doesn't have that problem for me. I can simply enjoy. Not surprisingly, I love that.

Yah! UTI's are the absolute worst, and I seem to be the unluckiest person in the world when it comes to them, 2 so far this year and a few last year. We always keep a bottle of cranberry juice around now, as I've done everything else in the book to prevent them to no avail.

So in my experience intercourse is far more dangerous and painful and all that than oral intimacy of any kind.
