I was wondering that too.

Do many people practice safe sex when it comes to oral. I didn't think anyone did really, but it seems a few here do. No one has ever asked me to put on to protection before receiving and I wouldn't even know how to protect myself when giving.

Actually, unprotected oral sex is one of the outcomes of abstinance only education. Kids are taught not to have sex but 'sex' is defined as intercourse.

So kids figured (amidst all the ignorance they are force fed) that oral or anal sex isn't really 'sex' thus is okay. But of course, since it's not really sex, you don't need protection. (And they've been lied to that protection is useless so are unlikely to use it even during intercourse.

Ah the wonders of ignorance only education.

Thanks.

I think the real question here though, is oral sex better than conventional sex? As a male, I would have to say yes.

As you, you can say yes. You can't speak for all men :p

For me, it really depends on what I feel like at the time...

Humans are beyond what "needs" to be done. We have rather reached and passed the point of "want" being significant.

You don't "need" a computer, it's wasted money. I don't "need" any of my video games, wasted money. I don't "need" a varied diet, wasted money.

Moreover, regardless of whether it's risky or not, each individual is free to decide whether the risk is worth it, without others telling them what to decide.

And on top of all that, if genitals are so icky, then why should we even have sex anymore? Artificial insemination is safer, and obviously sex for recreation is inconceivable.

Your argument is bad, and you should feel bad.

Im not saying genitals are icky, im saying that its kinda dangerous to put your mouth somewhere where toxic waste is expelled from. Would you put your face in a public toilet or a garbage can?

there is still a ton of bacteria down there though that the mouth dosen't need to be near. Lotsa bacterial flora and e-coli

That is why I never swab a dirty knob. I also don't go anywhere near the rectum. And truth me told, the fact that urine passes through the urethra, located in the genital region does not make oral sex inherently harmful to your health. Urine is not dangerous unless the person has a kidney or bladder infection. No, you don't want to drink pee, but having your mouth in close proximity to where urine is passed is not harmful.

Probably pick up more bacteria French kissing than giving oral sex. When I was at uni, I went through a phase of kissing every girl who showed any interest in me in the student bar during periods when I was single. I think everyone did. As a result, I was getting ill ALL the time.

And of course, the rest of post is clearly written in Russian, which is why you didn't respond to it.

These same "dangerous" genitals of toxic waste management are what either helps create life or brings it forth (unless there's a c-section). These are wonderful things... but they involve the exact same parts. How is it wonderful in one circumstance and disgusting and filthy in another?

Just have your partner wash up for goodness sake, and if they're sick or you're concerned about disease then either don't do it, or use protection.

Oh gods, you didn't get glandular fever, did you? *shudder* Kissing is so gross ;)

Anyway, you're right, yeah - as KatAutumn says, a bit of pee won't kill you, and clean people who know to wipe from front to back will not do you any harm at all.

Riding in a car, sailing in a boat, and flying in an airplane carry a risk of DEATH! Don't ever travel in a vehicle!

In fact, studies show that LIFE carries a risk of death! Aaaah!

I did indeed. The weird thing was that I didn't notice the glandular fever. I had tonsillitis that hadn't cleared up properly after two weeks on anti-biotics (probably because I kept forgetting to take them). I can't remember exactly why, but the doctor thought I might have glandular fever, she took a blood test but by the time I went back for the results I pretty much felt fine, so I was surprised to hear the results saying I had it. I was probably lucky, as I heard that it can lay you out for months, but I really didn't feel the symptoms at all. Didn't stop me from milking it though, and getting extensions on assignments.

Blimey, you were lucky - one of my friends got it once and it used to flare up quite frequently, and she was always laid low by it. And my ex got it, and it triggered a hereditary kidney condition that means he now can't have any alcohol at all.

So, to conclude, kissing is hella dangerous and we should all quit it and read the Bible instead. Wear gloves though, to avoid paper cuts.

Yeah, a bit of pee definitely wont harm you.

You might not want to sound quite so enthusiastic ;)

Haha, yes, but kissing is so much fun, especially when you're young!

Erm, yeah, a 'friend' told me that.

It's actually never been one of my favourite activities. Well, okay, kissing girls is lovely. But boys' kisses tend to be rather wet. >_<

Erm, yeah, a 'friend' told me that.

Sure, sure :p
