Stephen, I'm a little surprised you're still beating this horse. Todd spoke specifically about what you addressed and said "I am NOT being directed by an angel. I am being directed by Jesus Christ."

( for those who didn't read my accounts of Lakeland in the word of faith forum...I went with Riverpastor's wife and saw nothing but Jesus being taught, Jesus being worshipped and Jesus being given all glory)

Those who have a cavalier attitude about speaking ill of a ministry that is proclaiming Jesus Christ as the only way to the Lord, I feel a strong sense of warning. If you are right, you've lined yourself up with the accuser and damaged your own reputation. If you are wrong, then may God have mercy on you.

Todd Bentley receives accountability counsel from one of the most respected church fathers who is alive today...Bill Johnson. Here is what Bill said about him at his website bill johnson ministries.

What do you think about Todd Bentley and the Lakeland Revival?
"Todd is a good friend, but more importantly, he is a friend of God. I've met very few people in my life who are hungrier for God and will take extended periods of time just to seek Him. God has entrusted him with an extraordinary outpouring for a reason—He can trust him to do whatever He says, regardless of the opinions of others.

He is bold—amazingly bold. The miracles are legitimate and increasing. The church of America has asked for a great revival. God wonderfully placed this move in a package that few would have expected, just to see if we're as hungry as we say we are."

Recent response to the above answer:"How in God's name can you endorse Todd Bentley?" This is my response:

Have you spent time with Todd? Do you know him? Have you watched him with his wife? Or have you seen how he treats his kids? Have you spent any time with his staff? Have you been to his ministry?

Has he been to yours? Have you laid hands on him and prayed? Has he laid hands on you and prayed? Have you grieved over tragedy together? Have you celebrated victory together? Has he sought your counsel? Has he traveled a great distance just to meet with you privately for advice? Have you ever received his counsel?

Have you been in the room when God has showed up on him, and used him in stunning miracles? Have you seen him operate in the word of knowledge or the prophetic? Have you met with his counsel of elders? Have you personally benefited from his gift?
Has he benefited from your gift and ministry? Has he ever honored you for who you are in God? Has he partnered with you as a friend? Have you sacrificed for his welfare, or that of his family? Have you sought God with him? Have you ever worshipped the Lord with him?

I didn't think so. I have. And I'll continue to support those who I have walked with in life and ministry. He's my friend. More importantly, God calls him friend.

And if you and I were ever friends in that level, and people hated you and turned against you, and started web pages to tear down your ministry, and criticized you to your friends, and wrote against you in Christian magazines, and criticized you on the radio and wrote emails to other conference speakers and authors, I'd still be your friend.

By the way - criticism in the form of a question is not a question. But to respond to your statement, "How in God's name can you endorse Todd Bentley?" It's easy. I do it in God's name.
Bill

Stephen, I know you respect Bill Johnson so I thought you would be interested in his opinion.

So we're still on the lets use anything from the past we can to discredit him since we cannot find anything in his current ministry. Ok lets deal with this again. Emma, was a SMALL part of a very large teaching on angels. If you look at one of the other threads on this forum you will find a link by PRobinson (Thanks Pete) to an archive site. This lists the ENTIRE original file. In that file you will find emma is one SMALL section of the whole teaching on the angelic and the supernatural. Emma does not LEAD this revival at all. Jesus does. Any angels that show up in the meeting are purely used by God to bring a message of healing and salvation. They don't do the healing themselves, they can't. Not once does Todd give worship to angels, only to Jesus.

Yes Todd once said "God told him we have to get people to believe in angels and the supernatural. They already believe in Jesus." If you actually look at the whole of the quote around this then you will notice that what he is saying is not "Don't preach Jesus" but "we need to re-engage with the supernatural ASWELL as preaching Jesus". The early church new this well. They went out, preached the gospel and saw miracles and healings at the same time. The church of today has forgotten this and tries to say that miracles don't happen any more because they make us uncomfortable. TOUGH! Miracles still happen and are from God.

Great post. I want to highlight this part again, as you will find that no matter how often you say this, it will pop up time and time again. My old forum calls it PRATT, or a point refuted a thousand times. I am curious if this time it will get through, but I'd be willing to bet you hear it again...probably sooner that later.

Well,on many Todd threads,I have asked 2 questions..

#1,please use scripture to disprove Todd.

#2,by what Spirit ,are all the miracles, and salvations, that bring Glory to our Lord, doing this.

So far, other that 1 or 2 guys posting a few sreeeeetched verses, and one mate (my buddy, though wedisagree on some things) ;):) who said,it is some kind of deceptive spirit...

So it sounds like all we are left with is projection, and speculation,of some who just don't realize something..

Countless miracles in scripture,(and we know em all),

Like fire over peoples heads ar pentecost.
Coin out of a fish.
Walking on water.
Phillip translated.
Pauls nose cleaner rag healed some.
Elijah out running a chariot,
and so many more.

You same detractors,if you were alive back then, would say the same to beat up old things..

I dont see it in scripture!
It cant be God,it seems to strange,or odd...

Just for the record, all the miracles were unfolding right before their eyes, and they could not proof text it either, because the miracles were not in the text at their present times!!:D:D

None likes to be shifted from the 'comfort zone' but that is what God has always wanted to do with his people. He called Abraham to move, saw Joseph sold into slavery, Moses had to go back and face the relatives of the person he murdered. etc. These all were to fulfill God's purpose. I am sure they didn't feel all warm and fuzzy about it. :) gg

Amen.

A favorite quote: Sometimes God will allow our minds to be offended in order to reveal our hearts. :)
