...in an Irish pub by three charming Irishmen.
Really. The Pub is owned by a friend of ours (who is oddly enough, Russian ) and we went there after the party and fireworks at another friend's house with some other people who were not yet ready to call it a night. One of them tried to buy me a drink, which was sweet as he was probably ten years younger than me at least, but I pointed out my hubby and thanked him for the thought. He was very nice about it, and kept talking to me...and I was utterly charmed by his accent. Apparently, he and his two friends, came over to work in Raleigh for a pharmaceutical company because there are no jobs to be had back home. We talked until the bar closed, Michael eventually joined us at some point and was as thoroughly engaged by them as I was. Anyway, right before we left, they actually sang 'Black Velvet Band' for me...right out loud at the bar. It was very cool.
Say a prayer, if you would, for three very charming Irishmen far from home. They were absolute sweethearts.
Peace!
Sandy
