How do you think we will be talking in Heaven?

1And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, you each have wisdom and gifts that can help me be more like Jesus, and help me be a better part of the body of Christ. How can we offer them to each other? To what purpose is all other debates that do not truly edify Jesus Christ? All else takes our eyes off of Jesus Christ, and puts it on a false enemy... each others words. We take our minds off Jesus and are made to use our energy and gifts to defend ourselves from ourselves.

The enemy is not more powerful than God in us. The enemy comes to steal kill and destroy. Brothers and Sisters in Christ, not the enemys will, but Gods Will be done here at Christian Forums. Let's repent, and take back the ground the enemy has tried to steal.

You are so right - what a thoughtful thing to say - the enemy has stolen a lot of ground here at CF and now that it has been recognized I pray we can take it back and it will be more powerful than ever.

Amaryllis, I was going to say "With a southern accent" but then I realized you weren't referring to our actual 'speech' up in heaven.

Yes, if only all believers were known by their love and nothing less. We might actually be accused of re-presenting Jesus.

Perhaps we will speak in tongues ...

I know that we recieve a white stone with a new name on it ...

Why not a new language or the one you have now, tongues?

But what I really think is that heaven is for the Saints ... sure the blood of Jesus gets you in, but for how long?

I've always said, "there are no libaray cards in heaven".

Why, because there is a war going on and Jesus needs every available person ...

Plus Saint Paul in explaining the rapture of the church said that the dead in Christ shall rise first and then those that are left alive shall rise last.

I hope I get to keep this language (either one). I would miss hearing other people say, "Ya'll" including myself.

One more thought about heaven is that we may not be there for one thousand years. One thousand years being the promise for those that die in the seven years of tribulations.

The promise of one thousand years is also backed up by a promise in the old testament that we won't even remember who we were before the one thousand years.

I sure would like to see what Jesus is going to be like as our Lord and King for one thousand years, either here on earth or in heaven.

Wouldn't you?

The spirit is in heaven, under the control of the Holy Spirit, so we'd only be a recogniyion of what God's doing. But meanwhile the mind, emotions and will aren't gonna be in heaven until the Holy Spirit gains contol of them, and the flesh has to what till the very last day to be in heaven. So, the language of heaven can be talked one minute in the spirit and the next the language of hell on earth. The language of prophesy is the language of heaven now. Unfortuneately the prophets of the new testiment never had their prophesies recorded, so it makes a person wonder how much of heaven's language is sealed in this day.

Maybe we should add another sticky "12 Step Program of recovery for Bash Addicts".

If we aren't bashing TB or BH (I just opened a thread to bash TV evangelists) we are bashing each other because of the bashing. In fact, the bashing got so bad that the suits came in took over total control of the forum and bashed us to make any changes they wanted to.

So I guess bashing is only bad if someone else is doing it.

I think some of the responders here are responding to the title, and not the post. I apologize for the confusion of the title/post confusion.
