What do I plan to say at the Pearly Gates?

"I am not worthy, Lord."

And that is absolutely true, I'm not.

"Your Son sacrificed His life for mine, and if it is pleasing to You, then only say the word, and Heaven shall be mine."

For it is still up to God.

"I have loved Your Son, and I have lived my life within the teachings of Your Son's Church, I have participated as a member of the Body of Christ. And I desire to serve Him throughout Eternity, praising Your Holy Name."

Peace be with you,
~VOW

What a thought; to just think of that day. I don't know what I will say. I may not be able to say anything. Just imagine it; standing in His awesome presence, completely saturated by His glory. In the midst of being overwhelmed by His magnificience, if I can even utter anything, I will probably be repeating the words; "I love you"; that's all my heart centers on when I am in the presence of God.

When can I see the '85 Bears take on the '78 Steelers?  And thanks, I don't deserve to be here.
I will probably be so overcome to say much of anything, I'll just fall at His feet as though dead and let Him speak first.

oh and the '76 Steelers with a healthy Franco and Rocky were a better team than the '78 version.

Doesn't the idea of purgatory mean if you're in purgatory or at heaven's gates you're on your way in for certain.

And on the flip side, someone who is not heavenbound would not be at the gates at all.

Just the stereotype is that everyone stands at the gates of heaven and is judged there, then there is a trap door for the hellbound just doesn't add up with purgatory does it?

I don't know what I'd say, but I am sure that there isn't any entrance exam based on what you'd say at the gates of heaven. If you didn't ask for mercy before death, doesn't seem it would be helpful in regard to salvation after death - other than an act of continuing faith in death.

I think if you're on your way to heaven they see you coming and give you a big welcome home!!! There's a feast and room prepared for you , and a great big family with their arms open. No begging for mercy, no need for it. Maybe a praise and glory of God would be in order though.

I would chit-chat with St. Peter while he pulled out his Keys.

St. Peter: What did you think of Purgatory?

Metanoia: It was priceless! You should have seen the look of surprise on the faces of those who denied its existence! BTW, thanks for all the prayer!
