Carelessness? For instance, his current education resources, I found in another article, are considered quite liberal. It looks like Senator McCain, on the other hand, cherry picked the education officials from up and coming successful districts under "No Child Left Behind."

It isn't surprising that people would want to inject themselves into a political debate for personal gain, such as a position of authority and money.

On the other hand, if one was to use a voice, which encounters both sides of the debate (and Senator McCain has done this to a greater extent than Senator Obama), they can fill their "vaults" with political currency, without the need for a "particular" candidate, and while they may not, or are not as likely to, accept the same type of recompense, they will, nonetheless, be in a position to throw their support behind various policies, which is part of the public clearinghouse of ideas.

If the statistics show tell the story, what we have in the US is not as much a spirit of anti-Bush, but of anti-partisanship. Insomuch as Bush is seen as inflaming the problem even more, his lack of approval isn't really all that surprising.

Except that we've seen some strange lack of cohesion here...

One problem is the democrats... collect various activist groups and have difficulties when they need to create a cohesive voice. Senator Obama seems well aware that he can't "anger" activists, but at the same time the US citizenry will likely reject an activist bid for president. During this cycle, an activist may have the greatest possibility of winning. The slogan "change" has its roots in calling out activists, but gives me reason to pause, especially as a small town person, whom has seen much political change as invariably bad for such communities, causing gentrification and loss of jobs, which are collected, in part, by huge urban incentives. That isn't to say that I don't understand.

It is also interesting the many particular reasons why minorities vote for democrats are like those reasons why rural people vote for republicans.

But, Supreme Court judgments shows the problem with the litmus test on abortion rulings that especially the democrats in face... (from my perspective, the ability of a judge to deny another the right to live based on arbitrary guidelines leads to instability in the belief system regarding other rights).

A great pro for Senator Obama is his slightly more realistic view on taxes, allowing them to go back up. This because, with foreign energy consumption, our national debt has grown to such proportions that it is affecting or national security as well. I would like to see great tax changes that attempt to reduce the tax burden on the poor and middle class, however, and the obvious first step seems to be a reduction in regulation and the implementation of a flat tax...

uhh did you notice there were links to the exact quotes by obama? no i bet not since you just saw it was a blog and didn't read it.

I noticed that the first link was to an illegitimate webpage that had no credibility whatsoever. Especially since it seriously considers Larry Sinclair the mentally ill drug addict, who failed a polygraph test--to be telling the truth.

The amusing thing was, I brought up Larry Sinclair as a joke, to highlight the absurdity of these claims. And ironically enough, your own website is supporting and advocating his lies.

hahaha, way to shoot yourself in your foot. Out the window your credibility goes.

why don't you just comment on the well documented issue of this flip-flop or admit it is an embarrasing issue for your favorite candidate.

In regards to the SCOTUS ruling, Obama said: "I have always believed that the Second Amendment protects the right of individuals to bear arms," Obama said, "but I also identify with the need for crime-ravaged communities to save their children from the violence that plagues our streets through common sense, effective safety measures." source here

And in his book, Obama said: "I believe in keeping guns out of our inner cities, and that our leaders must say so in the face of the gun manufacturer's lobby."

So, where is the flip flop. Point it out for me.

Personally, I think Obama is smart enough to realize that gun-control laws, in general, only make it harder to legally aquire a firearm. Do you really think that the folks we are trying to prevent from having a firearm care about getting one legally?

I've spoken with several people about who to vote for and the people for McCain seem to know where he stands and what their vote will buy for the country if McCain wins. Basically another term of Bush. The Obama people don't seem to have a clue. They say Obama will change things for the better and we need new ideas blah blah... but they don't seem to have any clue about what Obama stands for on major issues beyond, "He's a good speaker and its about time a minority became President".

Careful, anecdotal evidence is POWERFUL; use it in moderation.

I have been following the primaries very carefully. Obama has changed a couple positions as has McCain. What is more important is what they claim to stand for. It's my belief that neoconservative quasi-fascists are traitors who would run this country, and the rest of the world with it, into the ground given enough time. I'm not going to argue or substantiate that claim, but it's my belief.

Obama, on the other hand, will most likely just [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth] away 5% more of my paycheck.

And I ask myself, who is worse?

The whole calling people a flip-flopper is foolish. People can change there mind when the situation warrants it or they realize they made an error and can correct. Changing to a better direction isn't a bad thing.

The only time the title of flip flopper would hold true is if a person frequently went back and forth, hence flip-flopping.

Of course politicians hate to admit they are wrong since the public will crucify them even if they make an earnest effort to rectify their position or action. Hence we end up with bull-headed politicians who often refuse to change their position or direction, even when they know it is wrong. They will wait until people to not remember what they did before and then switch over. We saw it a lot with the democrats at the beginning of the Iraq war, and later with the Bush administration.

Its hard for a Liberal politician to take a definate stand on guns.

It shouldn't be. If I ran for office I would make it plain to see that I favor the right to bear arms.

Less gun control.
Stricter penalties for gun crime.

Yes, please go Barack Obama. Anywhere, just go away

How about he goes to the white house as the president of the United States bringing our troops home from Iraq, and the price of oil down with it. He could probably stabilize the middle East, I believe the militants would see we are open to having a president as someone who had realtives that were muslim. They just might respect America more after that.

He is not all bad.

I'm not certain about what you are talking about and how it pertains to the dicussion or gun control at all.

What if I attempted to stick up a stop'n'rob with a gun, why should that be any different than (as has been done, albeit not by me) me attempting to stick up a stop'n'rob with a palm tree?

And for all of you that don't think Obama flipped on gunz:

Still nothing of substance supporting the notion that Obama has "flip flopped" about this issue. And I challenge anyone asserting otherwise to quote Obama directly showing it.

So we are all in agreement that the OP is a slime, a lie, and entirely worthless. On top the amusing fact that the "source" in the OP perpetuates nutty and stupid far-right slimes and imbeciles like Larry Sinclair as "credible".

Yeah.

Muslims are really going to want to negotiate with an apostate...

A president is as onlu as good as the first lady behind him.

Obamas wife has never been proud of her country.

On the other hand McCains wife

You'll never hear anything about this in the liberal, left-leaning media.
She would make a fine First Lady!

ShowLetter

Cindy McCain

Bet you would have never guessed this one! No matter your politics. The media will never tell of this, so pass it on.

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal on Cindy McCain, John's wife. All I ever saw was this attractive woman standing beside John. I was surprised how talented and involved with world problems she is. This is a summary of the article.

ShowLetter

She graduated from Southern Cal and was a special-needs
teacher.
After her Dad died she became involved with his beer distributing firm and
is now the chairwoman. Sales have doubled since she has taken over from her father.

ShowLetter

They have a marriage prenuptial agreement, her assets remain
separate.

She is involved around the world clearing land mines - travels to these
countries on a detonation team and service on their board.

ShowLetter

They have a 19 year old serving in Iraq , another son in the Naval Academy ,
a daughter recently graduated from Columbia University , an adopted daughter in
high school, and a son who is the finance guy at the beer firm.

ShowLetter

Raised kids in Phoenix , AZ rather than Washington DC (better
atmosphere). He commuted.

ShowLetter

In 1991, Mrs. McCain came across a girl in an orphanage in Bangladesh .
Mother Teresa implored Mrs. McCain to take the baby with severe cleft palate. She did so without first telling her husband. The couple
adopted the girl who has had a dozen operations to repair her cleft palate and other medical problems.

ShowLetter

They have a Family Foundation for children's causes.

ShowLetter

She's active with 'Halo Trust' - to clear land mines, provide water and food in
war ravaged and developing countries.

ShowLetter

She will join an overseas mission of 'Operation Smile', a charity for corrective surgery on children's faces.

She has had two back surgeries and became addicted to pain killers.
She talks openly about it which she says is part of the recovery
process.

ShowLetter

I'm surprised the media is so quiet about her attributes. She sounds more
capable than Hillary or Obama. We would really get two for the price
of one. A person with business and international experience.
John did work for the firm for a while when he left the Navy. She,
however, has the real business experience. Very interesting.

Errr.

I just did.

Well, I posted a video of it which amounts to the same thing.
