This is some of what is preached by the Christian Faith

Bible tells you how things were, are and will be. God is offering all mankind a chance of salvation and eternal joy.

The forgiving and merciful LORD who wants YOU to be with him.

Destruction of unrepented sinners and the faithless. Those are the choices. It is never GOD's will that you don't go to heaven but your own.

God is pure and holy and cannot have sin in heaven else what's the point? Sin is destructive. GOD is creative.

Why do you disbelieve? Is it so terrible that God wants you to share his kingdom with him? So terrible that he loves you. Satan does not want you to believe in the LORD and will try his hardest to fool you into not wanting faith in the LORD. Satan does not want your soul saved and is desperate for you to be cursed. To turn away another soul from his enemy that is our GOD.

Read the Bible and learn from it. It is as much about the future as well as the past. It is a book of creation, salvation, life and hope. It is authenticated by Jesus Christ the begotten Son of GOD.

The price of eternal death for sin has been paid by Jesus Christ so you can have a chance to your undeserved gift of eternal life with GOD.

Question: Why do people still turn against GOD?

Kind of a precarious beginning. "The" Christian Faith is made up of groups that believe different things.

Bible tells you how things were, are and will be.

Yes.

God is offering all mankind a chance of salvation and eternal joy.

No.

Those are the choices.

No. The choices are, for the unregenerate, act according to your nature and continue in sin, for the regenerate, grow and mature in your faith and strive to be obedient. It is never an issue of salvation as we are not saved by works. Obedience to His Word is something that He orchestrates by sanctifying His child. Not all of mankind are His children.

It is never GOD's will that you don't go to heaven but your own.

So, is it against God's Will that some go to hell? Whose will is supreme to God's? Don't you think that if it was God's Will that no one go to hell then no one would?

The price of eternal death for sin has been paid by Jesus Christ so you can have a chance to your undeserved gift of eternal life with GOD.

No. The "price of eternal death for sin has been paid by Jesus Christ" so that you do have the gift of eternal life with God. His gift is not conditional. It is not contingent on your works. If it was, your salvation would be given because of your works. Instead, the Truth is that we are saved because of Jesus' works.

Question: Why do people still turn against GOD?

Romans 9:21-24
Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor? What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

The verse in Romans that I cited is referring to man. Man is like a pot in that he is created, just as a pot is.

To say that the creator can do whatever they want with their creations is to justify child abuse.

Absolutely not. To say that the Creator cannot do whatever He wants with His creation is heretical.

A pot is not alive. A human being IS.

A human being is only alive because the Creator made him that way. Being alive is a trait that God created us with. Being a pot is something that the pot is created to be. Not to mention, physical life is all that man is born with. He is not born spiritually alive.

Yeah. Okay. The next time your caught up in a tresspass, try exerting your "free will." Or for that matter, will yourself to the moon. Then you'll see how free your will isn't.

In that case, why don't we bring back child labour? To imply that parents can abuse their children simply because they created them, is to justify slavery.

Uh huh. I see.

/me is seriously starting to lose interest...

Alive, maybe, but not the reason we STAY alive - there is a social contract, and we agree not to kill each other, and the fact that we haven't commited suicide.

I made no such agreement with anyone. I don't kill people for two reasons. First, it is against civil law. I would get put in jail, or killed for my actions. Second, and most importantly, God gives most of us the grace to refrain from such actions.

winstonjen, are you a Christian?

I agree with your response Reformationist. I would like to add to it a little, given that I sense from webboffin's pre-question commentary that the question cannot simply be answered by the election.

As mere disciples of Jesus Christ, we are not privvy to know the hearts of men. Therefore, we must be prepared to answer this question armed with more than a simple 'because God said so'. An earnest seeker (and potential member of the elect) may well be turned off for a time and remain outside the will of God if given such a straight-forward answer(albeit truthful!).

God reveals to us that it is not His desire to have anyone miss out on the free gift of salvation. He further reveals why some will not accept it. Some of those that live by the flesh, refuse to accept that Christ is their Lord, and deny to themselves that they need a savior.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." (John 3:16-21, KJV)

Jesus Himself points out numerous excuses that man uses to justify not accepting His gift, but the bottom line from man's perspective is not wanting to let go of their fleshly desires.

"And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead." (Matthew 8:21-22, KJV)

"The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions." (Matthew 19:20-22, KJV)

That's just my two cents for what it's worth.

trr742,

While your post is well written and I don't disagree with it I would like to point out that it is my opinion that the reason "some of those that live by the flesh, refuse to accept that Christ is their Lord, and deny to themselves that they need a savior" is a direct reflection of mankind's fallen nature. I think that strikes at the real heart of the matter that I believe many seem to overlook. Fallen man, which is all men, love their sinfulness because it's who they are. My pastor puts it this way, "We don't become sinners because we sin. We sin because we are sinners." It's who we are.

reframist, What your pastor is saying is true if you believe in the doctrine of original sin. If that is the case than God should be held accountable for our sin because that is the way He created us! It is a physical impossibility to be born a sinner because of the nature of sin. Sin is not a substance. It has no physical properties and cannot possibly be passed on physically from one person to another. What is sin? The Scripture says, "Sin is the transgression of the law." (1John 3:4).So, according to the Scripture, sin is an act or a choice that transgresses the law of God. Ecclesiastes 7:29 not only declares that God has created man, but it also affirms that God created man upright. If man is created upright, he cannot be born a sinner; and if he is born a sinner, he cannot be created upright. Either one or the other may be true, but they cannot both be true for the two are contradictories. The very fact that Jesus was a man, and born with a human nature as we are, shows that men are not born with a sinful nature (I John 4:3, II John 7, Hebrews 2:14,16-18; 4:15, Romans 1:3, Matthew 1:1, Luke 3:38).

If so, why does 'He' not try to stop people from having abortions? Or stop them from trying to induce miscarraiges? And what about all the times when a woman goes through her period? The egg there never gets fertilised!

Hola:
We must start with the following:

_For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
Before Jesus step up to heaven, He said: Go and talk the gospel to every creature in the world. We all have the opportunity to hear from Jesus. There are missionaires in almost every country of the world.

It is written:

__All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
John 6:37
and John 6:65 says:
_And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Jesus is at the door and Knocks, if somebody hear and open... Jesus will step inside and will take dinner with that man and the man with Him.
What a sweet words is not it?
It was said that Jesus wont come again until the last sheep step into the arc.
Hugo.

They are offended at being told they are lost. They would rather stay lost than admit to being sinners and be saved.
Some believers are just as bad.. It is not just unbelievers.

Question: Why do people still turn against GOD?

I think one reason is fear.......fear of giving everything over to God.....allowing him to be in control. Fear of not knowing is another one......to believe in something u can't see, touch, feel, smell.
