I thought I would interrupt my break from Christianforums to announce that my wife is pregnant with our first child. I would be so ever grateful to you all for your prayers for a healthy and safe pregnancy and that God will give us the grace to be good parents and Catholic role models so that our little one makes it to heaven. Looks like it will be a due date of late February.

Pax tecum,
Brian

Nina, dear friend- thank you for your congratulations and prayers, they mean alot to me.

Raven, David, Mike, Isabella, and Tigg - thank you so much for your prayers and congratulations, you all rock

Shannon - Yes, we already have 3 midwifes in mind that we want to interview, one of the ladies goes to my parish. I think you would enjoy talking to my wife she holds many of the same birthing and parenting philosophies as you do. Also I will take a look at your book recommendation.

Helen - Thank you for the congratulations and the book recommendation, I will definitely check it out.

All - I would be remiss if I didn't recommend something that has been of great benefit to me and my spiritual life. Please check out this site:

http://www.audiosancto.org

On there you will find great homilies by FSSP priests. The most recent one is on spiritual fatherhood. I listened to it yesterday while at work, and thought it to be so edifying, that I emailed the homily to all the fathers and fathers-to-be that I knew.

Little did I know that later that night my wife would tell me that I am no longer a father-to-be but actually am now a father.

My heart lept with so much joy.

I hope to come on here once or twice more before the birth with updates. And come late February/March, I hope to share pictures with you all.

Pax tecum,
Brian
