It depends on what you mean by "open minded".

If you mean that we're to accept others and their differences, as long as they don't go against the word of God, then, yes.

If you mean that we're to accept all people, behavior, and ideas uncritically or without regard to truth, which is what "open minded" usually means these days, no.

Acordint to the bible, does god want you to be open minded towards others?

"open minded" as in to love everybody and to forgive everybody? Then yes, we are called to do that.

"open minded" as in accept different religions? No.

It would be like this:
imagine a burning house. And there is only one window through which one could safely climb out. Would it be good of me to be "open minded" and let the person choose whatever window he desires to choose to climb through? OR
would it be nicer of me to shout: climb ONLY through the 2nd window on the left!!!!

So, we as Christians, say: the only way to God is through Jesus Christ. We say that because we believe in Jesus Christ's teachings and Jesus said:

JOH 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I always thought that according to the bible one isn't supposed to be open minded and that you should just let God do all the thinking for you. In short, God has it all covered, just let Him do the thinking for you and everything will be just fine:

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
--Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ..."
--2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)

Proverbs18:13: He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
By being open-minded you are NOT doing that, so good.

Proverbs18:17: He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.
This is certainly the case with Jesus Christ - a religious person will quote a scripture to support their doctrine, it seems right, but then someone else shows you something they didn't say.
