I had never heard of astral projection before, so I had a quick look and I have to say that personally I'm very skeptical of such things, but I guess it is important to say that they can't really be confirmed or rejected by science, at least not yet. I take a similar skeptical view to near death experiences ... while I don't understand it, I generally feel that it occurs in the mind.

I was reading about three approaches to [or models of] astral projection and I would agree with two out of the three, namely the skeptical model (i.e. the idea that it all happens in the brain) and the phasing model (i.e. the idea that the when a person projects, they are actually phasing into a different part of their consciousness).

I mean, the brain is so very complicated that it wouldn't surprise me if one could connect with different parts of their consciousness, but a cause or mechanism for this would be difficult to locate.

I believe that man exists of three things: the body (physical), the spirit (the immaterial part that allows recognition and communication with God), and the soul (our consciousness). The spirit and soul cannot seperate from the body, and, even if they could the person would die, and that once the body is dead, the soul simply 'sleeps' until resurrection day. As you can see, I am biased against out-of-body experiences, but everyone has a bias I guess. It has no relevance on my life so I don't really worry to much about it. It is an interesting topic, however.

Christians may have differing views than my own...

Personally, I would count astral projection with other things such as astrology, hypnosis, spiritists and mediums. I see these things as abominations in God's eyes. I do believe in the power of these things, but that power does not come from God. There are other powers, in opposition to God at work in this world.

Of course, I cannot claim that astral projection is actually specified in this catergory biblically and I must admit to knot having looked overly deep into it.

From what I understand, astral projection is the consequence of Transcendental Meditation. It is an out-of-body experience during which many people report being approached by spirits that offer power, wisdom, and guidance. Generally, these spirits appear luminous and/or child-like, but what many have come to understand (often through horrific experience) is that these "angels" are demonic; their purpose is always to steal, kill, and destroy. Scripture warns that Satan himself transforms into an "angel of light" in order to deceive and ensnare people. Apparently, his minions like to follow suit.

I would strongly urge you to steer clear of this sort of fooling about.

Peace to you.

The Satanic networks, under the names of their various deities, were created by the Babylonian Brotherhood to serve their needs. We have seen that the accounts of the Watchers and their offspring, the Nefilim, include references to their blood drinking activities.

Satanism is based on the manipulation of energy and consciousness. These deeply sick rituals create an energy field, a vibrational frequency, which connects the consciousness of the participants to the reptilians and other consciousness of, the lower fourth dimension. This is the dimensional field, also known as the lower astral to many people, which resonates to the frequency of low vibrational emotions like fear, guilt, hate and so on. When a ritual focuses these emotions, as Satanism does, a powerful connection is made with the lower fourth dimension, the reptilians. These are some of the 'demons' which these rituals have been designed to summon since this whole sad story began thousands of years ago. This is when so much possession takes place and the reptilians take over the initiate's physical body. The leading Satanists are full-blood reptilians cloaked in human form.

These rituals invariably take place on vortex points and so the terror, horror, and hatred, created by them enters the global energy grid, and affects the Earth's magnetic field. Thought forms of that scale of malevolence hold down the vibrational frequency and affect human thought and emotion. Go to a place where Satanic rituals take place and feel the malevolence and fear in the atmosphere. What we call 'atmosphere' is the vibrational field and how it has been affected by human thought forms. Thus we talk about a happy, light or loving atmosphere, or a dark or foreboding one.

The closer the Earth's field is vibrationally to the lower fourth dimension, the more power the reptilians have over this world, and its inhabitants. Satanism is not just a sickness and a perversion, although, it is that also, its main reason for existence, from the Brotherhood's point of view, is to control the Earth's magnetic field; to worship and connect with their reptile masters; to drink the lifeforce of their sacrificed victims; and to provide energy for the reptilians who appear to feed off human emotion, especially fear.

These sacrifices are, literally, sacrifices to the 'gods', the reptilians, and they have been happening for thousands of years. The mass sacrifice of people by the Aztecs in Central America, and so many others, were to provide food for, the physical reptilians and crossbreeds who eat the bodies and drink the blood, and energy nourishment, for the non-physical reptilians of the lower fourth dimension.

I agree with DeadtoSelf - it sounds like some transcendental meditation stuff. Its not agreeable to christianity and I don't consider it reality at all. Reality is the Bible - not because I said so but because there is overwhelming evidence that supports it. When one does their research and homework this is what they find. Its the only book period that has hundreds of detailed prophesies in it that has come true and more to be fulfilled. It could only be written by God. You may want to read The Evidence That Demands A Verdict by Josh McDowell (it would stand up in a court of law concerning biblical evidence). Also, Examine the Evidence by Muncaster (a former athiest) and go to www.reasons.org about science and belief. (Below is reality).

Biblical Evidence – This is a very small amount of information
out of large amounts of information out there.

Internal Evidences-Prophesies that are confirmed with Bible;

mentioning only a few – but there are hundreds.

Life of Christ
The Tribe of Judah, Gen. 49:10, Luke 3:23-28
(Genesis was written 4004 BC to 1689 BC)
(Luke’s time period is 60-70 AD)

Royal Line of David, Jer 23:5, Matt 1:1
(Jeremiah 760 to 698 BC)/(Matthew 60-70 AD)

Born of a Virgin, Isaiah 7:14/Matt 1:18-23
(Isaiah 760 to 698 BC)/(60-70 AD)

Rise of Empires
In the book of Daniel, Chapter 2 – four kingdoms are described in the interpretation
of the dream of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greek – Daniel 8:21, 10:20/ and a fourth great kingdom to follow which was part iron and clay – which is the
Roman Empire – during this empire, Christ came and the church was established – Daniel 2:44.

Historical Accuracy

The Bible is loaded with historical statements concerning events of hundreds of years ago, yet
none of them has been proven to be incorrect.
(Bible compared to other ancient documents)
New Testament – starts at 25 years – between the original and surviving copies
Homer- starts at 500 years/Demosthenes – at 1400 years/Plato – at 1200 years/
Caesar – at 1000 years

Number of Manuscript Copies

New Testament – 5,686/Homer – 643/Demosthenes – 200/Plato – 7/Caesar – 10

Consistency – Written by 40 men over a period of time exceeding 1400 years, and has no
Internal inconsistencies.

Claim of Inspiration- It claims to be spoken by God, 2 Tim 3:16-17). No other religious book makes such claims.

External Evidences

(Prophesies Outside the Bible)
These cities were prophesied to be destroyed and never to be built again- and they haven’t.
Niveveh – Nahum 1:10, 3:7, 15, Zephaniah 2:13-14
Babylon – Isaiah 13:1-22
Tyre -Ezekiel 26:1-28

Bible before Science

He hangs the earth on nothing – Job 26:7
(Job was written at least 1000 years ago – some scholars think it could have been even 3000
years ago)
Note: Man only knew the above for 350 years.
Earth is a sphere – Isaiah 40:22/Air has weight – Job 28:25/
Gravity – Job 26:7, Job 38: 31-33/Winds blow in cyclones, Eccl 1:6

Documents that Prove Bible is True

Gilgamesh Epic, The Sumerian King List, Mari Tablets, Babylonian Chronicles

Archealogical Evidence (Still adding to this list today- it hasn’t stopped)
Excavations of Ur, Location of Zoar, Ziggurats and the foundation of Tower of Babel

It is spiritually dangerous, and as such, the Church forbids such practices. It mimics the things of God in a twisted way. In other words, you're giving yourself over to demonic activity if you get involved. I'm sure there are many individuals out there who think they'll be fine and have it all figured out; do try to be smart and not be one of them. Every single person I've known who has claimed to be into astral projection has not been a Christian, but are rather into Paganism or Heathenry (Asatru) and also claim that they see beings and sometimes battle them on the astral plane. I don't doubt they are seeing and experiencing things, but they are being deceived. It is nothing to mess around with.

You'll be jumping out of the fry pan and into the fire. You're heading into more trouble, not less. Astral Projection is a part of the occult and the occult is a branch of Satanism.

1TI 4:1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

Why would you want to join a losing side?

REV 16:14 They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.
REV 17:14 They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings - and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."

REV 18:2 With a mighty voice he shouted: "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird.

REV 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

MAT 25:41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels
