Firstly, I am not a Hillary fan, not because she is a woman but because I disagree with her policies.

Secondly, SoF, you have failed to reply with reasoning and logic to posts that criticize your use of Scripture such as those posts that advise you to consider the context of the particular Scripture and my own post which highlights that the Risen Christ transcends gender. Basically, your argument is not being run on the grounds of reason but rather peddled by blind faith. Until you can use reason to justify your arguments by appropriately addressing ours without repeating the same Scripture and proclaiming it to be simple truth ad naesum, you are not going to convince anyone with an ounce of critical thinking.

So SOF,
Why did Paul write this letter to timothy and to the Church at Corinth? What was his motivation and why did he find it necessary to write this?

If there is a correlation between why he wrote this and what is going on in the world today, with women as public leaders, then I will listen to what you have to say about it. However if what he was writing about is shown to have zero correlation to what is going on today than please listen to what others have to say. And if it comes up somewhere in between then we can discuss that.

Who bore the Christ child in her womb? Who were the first commissioned by the Risen Lord to go forth and tell of the Good News of Life and the Resurrection? Who, according to many accounts, traveled with Jesus during his Passion up until the foot of the Cross? Can you name Jesus' female disciples while he walked the earth and in the ages since? The Risen Christ transcends gender, SoF. "There is neither male nor female, for all are one in Christ Jesus."

The thing is even if you take Paul's verses literally it's talking about in the church. I've never seen someone apply the passage to the secular government. America is not the church and you can't apply the teachings of Paul to the government without stretching the Bible way beyond where it is intended to go. Every church has their own beliefs about how to apply what Paul taught picking and choosing those that are for today, and those that were for that time. But even so AMERICA IS NOT THE CHURCH!

You have men lead in your churches if you want, but let the secular government be elected by the people of the country (which is not the church again) and if a woman is nominated and elected she'll be your president whether you like it or not.

Yeah, but besides what the Bible says he probably also believes a woman will nuke entire countries due to PMS or some such tripe, so it wouldn't matter anyway. Clearly, men are superior and a woman's domain is babymaking and homemaking, not leadership.

Clearly, Shield will latch on, almost remora-like, to any notion which protects him from learning how many women out there are smarter, more capable, and more qualified at -- well, just about anything, than he is.

Wow Poe, that was real tough.

Once again, the fact of the matter is that they were ALL MEN!

NO WOMEN HERE!!!

There is a reason for this. GOD has set up Family and Governments. GOD is a GOD of order. The man is the head of the family unit. GOD always used men as heads of governing, except with Deborah. She is the one exception. There were no men willing to step up to the plate, so GOD used a woman. Still, GOD created us and knows how we think and feel. HE knows that as men we do not want a woman in a place of authority over us. HE knows that we will naturally follow a good leader if he is a man. This is why HE has always done things the way HE has done them. This is all very basic and elementary. It is very "politically in-correct" however, it is right.

The feminization of our country has done great damage. However, no matter how much feminization men instinctively know that there should never be a woman President. Ever.

As long as there is a capable man to occupy that office, then there should NEVER be a woman President.
