Computer Parts Vendors The best Service

Best buy is pretty bad on movies as well. Overall I have had several bad experiences with Best Buy and will only go there as a last resort.

Tigers Shipping is really good also. Most times I receive my order within 2 days and they have always gotten it right. So far I have not needed to return anything or contact thier customer service. From what I have heard from others the service is very good. Overall they are hard to beat.

I have always shopped at NewEgg. Great shipping rates and great service.

I've had to return a few computer components to the local Circuit City and they take the returns without hesitation...

Yeah, most brick and mortar stores are good about accepting returns. The problems are introduced when you order online, because of shipping costs, etc.

Yeah I never had a problem returning anything to Circut City, Finding a salesperson that is willing to help much less knows anything is another story altogether, still 100 times better than Best Buy though.

Just curious... Is Newegg the new version of Egghead. I used to buy things from Egghead back in the day, never had any real problem.

I'd rather go to a computer trade show than to buy online. If you buy in bulk or go with friends and pick out big orders, you can get really nice bulk deals, which is usually the meat and potatoes of the indie computer builder. If you do it on-line, you are faceless and cant haggle for anything, really; it's just some on-line store script you deal with, not a guy looking to unload a few crates he'd just as soon not need to load back into his van at the end of the day.

I'll just stick with my local Fry's Electronics.
I get the parts same day, and can return anything
(Even returned Adobie and other Software a few times)

Out where I am they are.
Example on Tiger the best buy for a 1TB SATA Drive is about $220, Frys has the Segate ones for $180 today.

No Fry's around here anywhere. I would check them out if they were.

They do have an online site, but the navigation isn't that great.

Hmm, what did you find wrong with it?

I like Newegg. I always find what I need, they have good prices, and though I always take the cheap Ground shipping everything gets to me in just a few days.

However, I did get a defective hard drive, which I have to RMA through the manufacturer. Western Digital wasn't nearly as fast as Newegg!
