Granted. But the United Nations interpreters' union goes on strike, and you're called in to replace all of them singlehandedly.

you get it. But then a week later the company goes broke because the deal really was too good to be true, and you no longer have internet access.

Granted. You live next-door.
But shortly after some crazy circumstance causes the government to build a huge wall complete with barbed wire and crazed guards between your houses and across the entire city. You never see your friend again.

I wish I would get more stipend when I go back to study now.
