This is kind of a spin-off of Flnative's thread. Only she is trying to let someone down, lol.

For those of you that have ever let someone know you like them, how did you do it? Did you write them a note, or tell them in person? And, has anyone ever done something nice for a crush hoping that they would notice you more this way?:holy:

Usually, when I like a guy, they know by my actions. I am not afraid to flirt, or flash a smile, or "the look". I can't remember the last time I just straight up said "HEY! I like you." Seems kinda pointless when the guy has my number and we have a date in 2 weeks or something... :D

I'm terrible at the whole subtle flirting thing so I usually just come right out and say that I like him and invite him to have a lunch or coffee date if hes interested. It has worked in the past when I done it but I'm terribly shy so I use this as a last resort when I'm tired of waiting for the guy to make the first move. I could never be a guy and have to make the first move all the time.

Never had to.. really. I would think people pretty, but not want to go out or anything. My GF just plainly asked me out, and I prefer that way, even though it was really awkward since I didn't want to go out with anyone. I don't care for flirting, and probably wouldn't even notice..are there like flirting rules?

Sorry, but if I don't see something I want, he can flirt all he likes and he may as well flirt with a brick wall. I need to see brilliance, eloquence, honesty, humility, and kindness...or it's a dead end. I can usually tell within the first few sentences out of his mouth.

I now usually do things a bit more secretly. Not that the other person wouldnt pick up on it, but i try to focus on getting to be good friends, and with that, i try to ask a lot of questions to see if they would be good material. Eventually i get my answers and save myself a lot of "i like u's" rejected. Of course, if too many questions get answered positively, well, by then she would have hopefully long picked up on my thoughts and usually something like a friend comes along who has noticed we have gotten a bit too close, and does the "hey, so do u like soandso?"

lol, last year im not sure if even one crush that a girl had didnt get spoken to the other girls i worked with. They seemed to have a talking issue, go figure.

As for crazy stuff i have done to show a crush i liked her, one time in high school this girl i liked was sick and didnt have anyone to take her homework to her. I volunteered (dont ask how i got the work, i cant even remember myself), and then i road the bus home that she normally took, and got dropped off at a nearby trailer park. I then walked up to her door, gave her her work (to which she replied "where's your ride?" and im thinking i probably lied at the moment, lol), and then after she said thanks, i left and began to walk the several miles it would have taken to get home. Thankfully some old lady picked me up partway and dropped me off. heh.
