That is new age teaching. Our only pre existance was in the DNA of Adam. In Adam was the whole human race.

1 Cor. 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

There may have been cave men or monkey or whatever before Adam, but he was the first to have a living soul.

Accoring to Theophius (150ad) one of the early church fathers, the soul that Adam had was neither temperal or immortal, but it had the potential to be either. If Adam failed God, his soul could perish. But also, God could give him eternal life.

Adam failed God, but we know that Able, one of his sons found favor with God and Enoch the 7th from Adam did not even taste death but was a type of the Bride and was raptured out of here. Just as Elijah was raptured out of here. Although Elihah was a type of Christ.

It is interesting to note that Abraham was willing to offer up his son, because he reckoned that God would raise him up from the dead.

Hebrews 11:19a&nbsp;Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead,&nbsp;&nbsp;<B>

Interesting question, but...
what difference would it make?
Besides, what happens in eternity
exists both before and after now (as
well as right now), since time is just a
subset of eternity. Is there a practical application
for this information? School me, Michie.

God breathed into man and he became a living soul.

&nbsp; Was he just a lump of molded clay before the breath?

&nbsp; Our spirit goes back to God when we die.

&nbsp; We know what happens to the body for dust you are and dust you will return.

&nbsp; What about the spirit is it active in heaven because it does return to God.

&nbsp;I would like to think that there is activity with our spirits in heaven but I don't think God tells us this for sure.

&nbsp; Is it active or does it lay dormant until God chooses to make it active again? Thanks in Advance

doesn't the Bible say, " I knew you before you were even born?"

Hi Cenimo,

Jesus knew us and everything about us before He even created the Earth. He knew us before we were born because He knows the future.

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
