Ah doji, I have been receiving "credit hours" from the first time the first baby was shown to me 43 years ago...(Oh no there is the age thing again)and I still an getting credit hours each time one of the grandkids gives me a hug or asks "Mamaw, love ya"

Weather I would be surrogate grandma to your 5 in a heartbeat..Grandparents are so important in any family..

Beegy, I think you should receive credit hours for the 9 months preceding the first time you saw your baby. Those months are nothing to sneeze at.

Oh, how I wish my kiddies had grandparents to love. My mother is still living (as some of you know) but she has never been grandmotherly. hmmmm....I actually don't believe she was ever motherly either.

Beeg, I, too, loved my pregnancies. Not a day of sickness and every kick was like a moment in heaven. What a complete miracle to have a life growing inside of you. I cried when I was in my last pregnancy and I realized that I would never have that feeling again.

WOW, just WOW, Jazz!! Mine were 6#30z, 2 years later 6#5oz, 10and a half monthe later 6#11 oz and 15 mos. later 4#..All natural way deliveries..

I had both of mine c-section, too.

Are we talking kids?? I love to talk about my kids.

My son was first. He was 3 wks early and 6# 8oz and was regular delivery. He spent 7 extra days in the hospital because he was jaundice (yellow!)

My daughter was second. She was 4 wks early and 9#2oz and was c-section. They took her early because she was having heart issues in the womb and wouldn't make it full term, or through a regular delivery. She was in the NICU for 3 weeks due to her health complications.

Both are just fine and healthy now. He's 13 (soon 14) and she's 12 (soon 13) .. they're 14 months apart.

How is everyone? I see you're talking about cats, I love mine. She is a Ragdoll, beautiful but she had a mean streak in her too. Yes litter boxes are the worst. Does anyone have one of those automatic ones?

My mom does and her cat ( a Himalayin sp?) just loves to make it run. It will purposely push litter in front of it to "block" it and/or she'll keep getting in and out of it to trip the sensor and watch it go. I think the cat thinks it's a toy

Seems like I missed out on a great topic tonight! My first was 2 weeks late, I call him my appointment baby, and the second one well the date was never settled upon as the dr and I kept aruging about it, he was planned carefully and I ended up being the closest. LOL. I thought dh was going to have to deliver him as we sped the 25 minute ride to the hospital, each time I moaned loudly or tried to climb the seats he pressed the gas harder, scaring me and then I would scream for him to pull over and deliver this kid! Wow, what a ride!

I had an epidural with each of mine, but with the last one, of course it didn't take and I had natural child birth, oh my what a feeling!
