The 'ONE' Woman Bride of Christ

I pose a question that will infuriate the "Church". It has been on my mind for years. I realize the teaching that has been brought down throughout history. According to Revelation Chapter 19 verses 7, 8, 9, and Revelation Chapter 21 verse 9, literally it states "one" woman, bride, wife (she, her). Need I ask you, "Is anything impossible with God"? Could Jesus take "one" woman to be His "wife" especially for the Millennial Reign? One woman chosen as Mary was? As a child would read these Sacred Passages, how would it be read? Such a perposterous idea? I am sure there have been women in history that have thought about this. I pray you will shed some Light on this question. Not that it is impossible for the God of great possibility but that indeed it could be possible. A King and His Bride Queen. Humanly thinking a harem is not the ideal in God's Kingdom to come. Please forgive me if I have offended you. I find it hard to think that Mary is Jesus' wife or a multitude. I would appreciate a reply to my heartfelt question. Truly His!

By one, the Bible means the Bride will be of one mind and one accord. She will think like Jesus, and have the divine thought of God as Jesus did. She will have the mind of Christ. People from all tongues, nations, & tribes will be united as one in Christ.

I believe the atonement was two fold. Not only was our relationship with the Father restored, but also our relationship with each other was restored. Apart from Christ even in a natural family there is division. But in Christ we are all one family.

The Holy Spirit of God is already doing a work in us. The resurrection power of God is already at work in the Bride to prepare her for the "rapture". Why don't you come and join us? The Bride and the Bridegroom says come and be a part of us.

Rev. 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

>>The bride of Christ is His church.

There is a difference between the Bride and the Church. Enoch was a type of the Bride, the Bible says that Enoch "pleased God". Just like Jesus, the Bride will be without spot, blemish or wrinkle. The Bride will be living free from sin, when Jesus returns for her.

Hebrews 11:5
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Those who are Christian and not a part of the Bridal company, will have to go to heaven by way of the grave. The Bride will have conquered death, and like Enoch will just be translated. Jesus will come for her, and she will be transformed. The Holy Spirit is already doing a resurrection work in us to prepare us.

Matthew 28:19-20
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Notice where Jesus tells the Bride to "teach them to observe all things that I have commanded to you". The Bride does just that, and teaches that we are to live free from sin. Those who do not belong to the bride say we have no choice but to be sinners. They do not teach people to follow ALL the commandments.

The Bride is going to take this whole world by storm and make a fast work out of the end time harvest. The latter rain that we now are in, is even greater than the early rain of the early church. But then there is more evil in the world now.

As they say, this is the best of time and the worst of time. IT is the best of times if your saved, and the worst of times if you are not saved and do not love the truth and make Jesus your first love. If there is ANYTHING you love more than Jesus, then that is your first love. Thanks, JohnR7

Has anyone ever done a study on Gideon to see what he could accomplish with 300 people, even though he started out with 32,000 and then 22.000.

In this end time hour, I really believe that 300 people could conquer 3 billion people or half of this world for Christ. Even though we know that only 2 billion or one third of mankind will stay saved and be redeemed.

But do not think that being a American or a Christian gives you any special priviledge with God, because it does not. Just because Christians have the oracles of God, so did the Jews. The Bible is clear that God is no respector of person and the people of all tribes, nations and tongues will stand before Him.

Anyways, I would be really interested if anyone wants to do a study of Gideon and his 300 and share with us what the Holy Spirit may show your regarding that. Thanks, JohnR7

Zech. 13:9
I will bring the one-third through the fire,
Will refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name,
And I will answer them.
I will say, 'This is My people';
And each one will say, 'The Lord is my God.' "

Rev. 7:9
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

AveFrancesMaria,

I understand your question a bit differently than the others who have responded, so if my understanding is incorrect please forgive, but in the event I am right I will answer your question. Mary is not the wife of Christ. OT law prohibits a man from taking his mother as a wife, and Jesus came to fulfill the law. Jesus is the last 'Adam' and like Adam His wife will come from HIS body. Paul explains 'the body of Christ' as being individuals who are set in with different functions. Some act as eyes, some as ears, some as hands, etc. So it is with the 'bride', each believer will be part of the body of the bride, acting as eyes, ears, hands, etc. John tells us in Rev. and Paul confirms that we will be 'kings and priests' so we do have a future function that can only be performed by a multitude of people, who make up the body of the bride of Christ.

The relationship of Christ to the bride is similar to God's relationship with Israel, in which God was married to the children of Israel. God was not a bigamist, with a vast harem. It is an analogy which gives further insight to his relationship with His people. As a proof text I offer Paul's words to the believers at Corinth: 2Cr 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to Christ.

Hope this helps.
