Ok, I have pet rats. Yes, I know this makes me weird.
I had five, as of a few days ago, but I haven't been able to keep them in my house because we don't know if they were making me sick (I doubt it, but we're trying to get rid of all possibilities). Champagne, Sosspiri, Amina, Jemimah, and Sophia. I named 'fia before I was Orthodox, and when my priest heard what her name was he made me promise never to name a rat after a Saint again! So they've been living in another building on our property (an old house that's falling down, but the doors/windows/roof still work) and I've gone up every day or so to feed them.
Anyway, for some reason or another, they got cold/ran out of water/ran out of food/something, and three of them died, but I can't figure out why - there's still food in the cage, and they didn't look that thin... but I looked in the cage after taking out the ones who had died, and they weren't there. Seeing the chewed things around, i figured out they had escaped - and we heard rustling in another room. So I went in and sat there, talking to them - and they'd come up and talk to me and take food from my hand, but wouldn't let me catch them. I have a small, escape proof cage, and if I can catch them I can put them back in there, and look after them, but they wouldn't let me, and it's got dark and there's no electricity up there. I left them food and water, and they should be alright...
So...long story short, I really need to catch them, but they're in a room full of junk, and lightning fast. Would you mind praying that I manage to catch them? I'd like to know where they are!
Anyone know any Saints who were good with animals?
ETA: oh yeah, the ones loose are Amina and Jemimah.
