You ever have periods where you'll be hit by inspiration, or you'll have an idea for how to build/fix/modify/improve something, and your brain can't settle down until it gets all the details worked out?

All the time, I really hate it when i think of a solution to a probelm i had earlier in the day or even a day or two ago and it just hits me with the prefect solution. That really annoys me off becasue its ussally too late to do anything about it to see how well it would of worked in pratice.

i had that happen a couple times. Usually involving how to improve video game character stats.

As for sleeping, have u tried eating a lot and making sure its not too hot in ur room? I find after a big meal its easier for me to eat than just going normal. And then again, sometimes ive had those nights where i just couldnt sleep, those suck.

I had this last week. I had SO much on my plate and I was drinking caffeine to gain more hours in my day so my body was on autopilot and couldn't stop.

Usually if I listen to my ipod and try to control the thoughts running through my head, eventually I konk out.

Although this wasn't the case last night from 2-30am to 5:30am.

So did you figure out something that worked cause I've been awake since about 2:45 am :sigh:

As a matter of fact I did.

Since it was 2AM and I didn't really have anything else going on at the time, I decided to do a little investigative work. I ended up coming across a pretty interesting article on webmd.com that addresses the issue of insomnia.

It was pretty groundbreaking info, although it did get kind've technical at points. I won't bore you with the details, but research conducted at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute has concluded that the key to fighting insomnia is to elevate the heart rate for an extended period of time in combination with opening up certain blood vessels located in specific regions of the body.

So, as I'm sure you can imagine, my excitement over this very simple yet very profound solution motivated me to get dressed immediately and head down to the local Walmart to see if they had any women in stock.

To my dismay, they appeared to be fresh out. So I walked back to the customer service department and asked the person behind the counter if I could put a woman in layaway.

That gal must've been having a really bad day or something, because as soon as I asked her she threw her clipboard at me...

So on my way out of the store, I picked up a bottle of pain meds to soothe the aching wound in my head. Took them as soon as I got home, and was out like a light shortly thereafter.

So it looks like I'll have to wait around for Walmart to replenish their stock before I can try out this "woman" solution. But when I get the chance, I'll be sure to give y'all an update on whether it worked. :holy:

awww :( AGAIN?

hmm...
Wish I could suggest something. I'm guessing listening to music while you are laying down doesn't work as well for you as it does for me?

Actually, music is what's keeping me up right now.

Micheal Jackson's song "Starting Something."

Over, and over, and over, and over, and over, again.

It's driving me up a wall.
