Don't be so pessimistic. I am sure there is some white separatist group hold up in a barb-wire enclosed compound up in the wilds of Idaho who would love to have you as a member. I understand some of those groups have created real libertarian paradises wherein a real man can hang out with other real men and do manly things all day long. ;)

JGL53,
Interesting that you would assign me to that group. I can't for the life of me figure out how you came up with that based on my having no trust in politians any more?

So, friend, question. Do you believe everything President Bush says? Do you trust Cheney? If the answer to those questions is yes, then send me off to the land of barb-wire--but it will have to be on your dime.

If, however, you do not believe everything Bush says, and you don't trust Cheney, then I will save a bed for you.

Second thought, if you believe everything our politians tell us, they still have beds with straight-jackets.

the quote you use shows us that obama is aware that the statements were made and that he was not there to hear them. he does not suggest the comments didn't happen. thanks for the quote that proves this. very useful.

MichaelFJF,
i know you are aware that these accusations have been debunked and retracted in the nytimes. billy kristol apologized for simply repeating something that had been stated in a blog.

you guys need hugs, very badly.

JGL53,
Dang, so as to drive me futher into pessimism, now I find that the Hillary 'DID NOT' run with her head down at the Bagdad airport. She WAS NOT under sniper fire. Now she says, "Well, my Aids told me we were taken fire on approach." But that does not explain the running with heads down to safety. Darn those videos that keep popping up.

Let's see: Obama, I know nothing!
Clinton: Head down
McCain: "Wait, I am for Bush's tax cuts."

Instead of me heading of to Idaho, maybe you need to take a short rest at a clinic to shore up reality.

People can watch the speech now. You're out of ways to continue this sort of demonization.
Why shouldn't I? The American people need to be reminded how Nobama is:

1) Anti-American (by refusing to wear American flag pin ever, Hiroshima, etc.)
2) Racist (e.g. Wright, wife, rich "white" man rhetoric, etc.)
3) Anti-semetic (by supporting Palistinian terrorists against Israel)
4) Corruption (Rezko)

If Nobama can't take the heat, then he should stay out of the kitchen.

Obama isn't anti-American. He's anti-politics-of-yesterday, which is apparently the only sort you are familiar with. As an American, I can say very strongly that I do not feel at all that Obama is anti-me. Obama, and his supporters, are simply seeking to put an end to the sort of negative politics that have plagued our country for years now. There are holdouts, certainly, but most of them are only holding out because they're afraid of losing the ideological power they've come to enjoy.
Don't be taken away by his charisma. Hitler has the same characteristic.

Michael,
I don't believe a one of them any more. Oh, I use to. But enough of the garbage. I have become a pessimistic optmist.

Michael, I believe anyone who defends one of this candidates is only fooling themselves. They scream and squeal at the rallies every time one of them says, I am going to give you....It doesn't matter if it the liar, or the other liar, or the old liar. They can't give us anything. It was ours from the start.

I have been a Rep. ever since I made the mistake of voting for Jimmy. But there isn't a nickles difference in any of them. Obama's black, and a liar. The Hill is a woman, and a liar. McCain is old and white and a liar. And every one of them want to give my money away.

I have never missed a vote, but I may very well this time.

I would vote for a black, and I would vote for a woman, but not this black and not this woman. I have voted for old white guys many times, but not this time.

What's a guy to do? I guess sign off and go play a game of hearts.
MAKE IT A GREAT EASTER.

Well, it would be interesting to see Senator Bird and Nobama in the same bathroom. I wonder who will come out and still walking straight.

Why shouldn't I? The American people need to be reminded how Nobama is:

1) Anti-American (by refusing to wear American flag pin ever, Hiroshima, etc.)
I don't wear a flag pin, and I don't think anyone should. It's fake patriotism, for people who want to be able to say "Look, I'm patriotic!" without actually having to do anything to prove it (like working to make their country better). Obama understands this. You, clearly, do not.
2) Racist (e.g. Wright, wife, rich "white" man rhetoric, etc.)
There is absolutely no evidence of Obama having a single racist thought. Everything that you're whining about here is meaningless.
3) Anti-semetic (by supporting Palistinian terrorists against Israel)
Yes, clearly if you do anything but give Israel complete and utter support, you must hate Jews. At this point, I don't even think you believe what you're saying.
4) Corruption (Rezko)
Obama is one of the most transparent public figures in existence right now. The Rezko deal was something he admitted to and apologized for as a stupid mistake on his part, but there's nothing to suggest that he was actually engaging in corruption.
If Nobama can't take the heat, then he should stay out of the kitchen.
Even your made-up heat? He's more than capable of dealing with reality. But when you come in here and start pushing lies like they were the truth and ignorant people who want to hate Obama start believing them, what can he do? We already know that you have to lie to have any chance here. You can't touch Obama in reality. He's essentially immune to actual criticism because of his stellar record. Your only recourse is to repeat lies over and over until enough cowards believe you.

You should be ashamed of the way you're handling this, jsn112.

What?! I don't know what to respond! I am actually speechless! I guess you with all your psychic power that you can read Nobama's mind on how patriotic he is, huh? I guess the next logical thing you will tell me is that prostitution is another form wedding proposal.

I guess the people who he surrounds himself with (i.e. racists Wright and wife) doesn't count, huh?
Yes, clearly if you do anything but give Israel complete and utter support, you must hate Jews. At this point, I don't even think you believe what you're saying.
Well, well, well. Now it all comes out. Self-indictment, I see. Now it all makes sense.

See no evil. Hear no evil. Talk no evil. Evil just doesn't exist.

Well, my job is done. Nobama's favorable rating is falling like a rock.

I don't need to. His actions speak plenty loud enough. The fact that he's been willing to dedicate his life to public service and the highest office in the country makes him unquestionably patriotic. If you think wearing a flag pin even registers compared to that, you have no idea what being an American means.
I guess the people who he surrounds himself with (i.e. racists Wright and wife) doesn't count, huh?
Michelle is not racist, and while Wright certainly holds some unpopular views, his outlook on race relations is more than justified if you have anything resembling an education in history.
Well, well, well. Now it all comes out. Self-indictment, I see. Now it all makes sense.
If you continue to make inane comments like the above, you will not get responses. Just giving you a heads-up.
See no evil. Hear no evil. Talk no evil. Evil just doesn't exist.
Unfortunately, your rhetoric can't really compete with evidence.
Well, my job is done. Nobama's favorable rating is falling like a rock.
Actually, it's on the rise again. He's up 3-5 points from earlier in the week, and more from last week. You can't honestly expect an attack as weak and ridiculous as the Wright business to have a lasting impact. It's just the latest in a pathetic string of smear attempts - none of which have managed to stick.

Sorry, but this just isn't turning out the way you want it to. I understand your frustration. What do you do when confronted with an opponent that is actually a good person? It's a shame that, instead of supporting him, you've decided that the best solution is to try and make it look like he's not a good person. You're trying to tear someone down to your level, and the worst of it is that you are unable to see just how harmful what you are doing is to your country.

Comparing Nobama to Jesus...hmmmm.
You compared him to Hitler. I thought it was more than fair. Honestly, if you want to be ridiculous I'm more than happy to play that game.
You know, the Bible says in the last days there will be an "abomination that causes desolation" walking around probably giving charismatic speeches to deceive many. That time is closer than I thought.
Ah, yes, calling your opponent the anti-Christ. The fundamentalist's version of Godwin's Law.

Your time is up, jsn112. The stranglehold you and your ilk have had over the minds and politics of America is finished. There might have been a time when your arguments had substance to them, or even reflected reality. Evidently, not anymore.

In my country, I want a president to be a patriot first and foremost. After all, from Washington to all the way to Bush, they all were patriotic. I don't blame him for not wearing an American flag pin all the time, but refusing to wear it at anytime is unpatriotic, period. Second, he's a racist or very least a hypocrite. Why calling for Imus' head but not his pastor? Third, throwing your grandmother under the bus is not what I call it endearing. Perhaps for you, but not for me. Fourth, what makes you think Nobama is any different than else or even Clinton? According to NYT:

...Even so, Mr. Obama does not come to the campaign with a reputation as one of the most accommodating bridge-builders in the Senate. And while he promises a very different politics from Mrs. Clinton, their voting records in the Senate last year were NOT strikingly different...
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23785660/

There you have it. You have been caught with a hook, line, and sinker.

BTW, notice the pattern of poll numbers since Wright video came out. Nobama is dropping like a rock in general election:
http://rasmussenreports.com/public_...al_election/general_election_match_up_history

Pretty soon, Nobama's number against McCain will be in the 30's. Right now, it's 41.

How? Explain this. How is putting a metal pin on your jacket proving to others that you are a patriot?
Third, throwing your grandmother under the bus is not what I call it endearing. Perhaps for you, but not for me.
That would be fine, if he threw his grandmother "under the bus". But he didn't.

I've examined both of their voting records extensively. But voting records are a pretty poor measure of legislative accomplishment, as anyone who knows the first thing about the U.S. legislature will tell you.
There you have it. You have been caught with a hook and liner.
Actually, it looks like you have. I'm not sure what compelled you to think that voting records come anywhere near accurately demonstrating political differences (especially within the same party!), other than simply reading something in a news article and running with it.

According to Rasmussen. Gallup has them separated by a single percentage point. And either way, this is a single-week fluctuation at this point. Daily polls I've been watching indicate that Obama's numbers are coming back up to where they've been previously, which is exactly what we'd expect of an attack with as little substantive basis as this.

Do you really think it's the pin that I am talking about? What I mean is it could be an anthem, flag, sticker, pride, etc. I don't need to explain any further because it could not be explained any simpler.
That would be fine, if he threw his grandmother "under the bus". But he didn't.
Oh yes, he did throw his "typical grandmother."

I am sorry, but it's just so hard to make a horse drink even though you lead it to the water sometimes. But it's fun to see gullible people trip over themselves.
