Again I would say..... Why?

Is she asking you to?

Are you overly obsessed?

I can understand toning it down if it takes up too much of your time... but give it up? No way.

I don't think anybody should give up their hobbies for anybody else.

What i mean by "iron" is "iron sport". This takes many forms: weightlifting, powerlifting, strongman, strength and conditioning etc.

Same as you would ask somebody: would you give up soccer for a girl?
Thanks for clarifying.
FWIW - I was wondering if it was something like the iron man competitions but I was not certain.

I don't see why anyone should have to give up anything that is healthy and they have a healthy passion for in order to please someone else.

If the girl or guy cannot handle the commitment required or the risk involved then they are probably not the right person to be tying your life to.

That all depends. If she is asking you to, or because the relationship is leaving no time for the 'iron game'?

Its important to have balance in life. Sometimes you have to reduce your training in order to make time for the relationship. Which should be a no brainer trade off.

I dont think anyone would ask someone else to stop living a healthy lifestyle, but some 'iron heads' are not exactly living healthy lifestyles.
