lol. Yea, unfortunately soy milk goes bad faster than regular milk once opened (at least from what i know). But u arent barfing ur brains out yet, so it might still be good. The soy milk i get usually says "use within 7 days of opening," but the expiration/sell by date can be like a month or more in the future. If ur soymilk has a sell by date, or 'best if used by', instead of an expiration date, usually it will last a bit past that.

I happen to run across a store that sold it in smaller containers than 1/2 gallons, and it was nice to not have to force myself to drink it everyday to make sure it wasnt wasted from going bad.

Soymilk huh?
I use that stuff. If it doesn't have a smell or taste, its fine.
My soymilk smells like mild alcohol when it goes bad, and it gets "clumpy" like real milk too. If it isn't doing that, you're probably fine.
I eat yogurt that is 2 months past its use by date and sometimes leftovers from dinners I cooked dont get eaten until more than a week later and I'm fine.
rock on, trooper.
