But the truth is that Ellen White was not a prophet, she fails the Biblical tests for a prophet.

However, I do believe she was a sincere Christian who truly loved and wanted to serve the L-rd, but I DO NOT think she was in any way, shape or form a prophet.

There is a growing movement in the SDA church to put EGW in her rightful place, simply as bible commentary. I have seen pastors stop refering to her as a prophet and have begin to refer to her as one who wrote bible commentary. They have also began quoting other commentators besides EGW. I like this trend, because many are beginning to question her validaty as "prophet" of the SDA church. There are still some hardliners.

First of all, you posted your criticism is in a thread devoted to a fantasy by Eternal Night, so why should anyone take you seriously?

That is a poor response Bourbaki, it carries no persuasive intent at all.
Why don't you prove E G white a Prophet using scripture instead of making personal statements?

I am afraid PC that Bourbaki is incabable of making a logical debate, or making any logical post for the matter. In almost every post, he posts a link to his website.

Hi there Mankin, I think you and I know and understand clearly that anyone claiming themselves as a Prophet or giving credence as to someone else being so, MUST prove it biblically.

The onus is on any church and its members to come up with absolute biblical proof to back their claims. Or stop making them!
If there is no irrefutable proof then there is to be no acceptance of the claim. Ipso-facto.

Assertions of Prophets being within churches are not that rare and are made by the Latter-day Saints and Jehovah’s Witnesses and I would expect definite biblical proof of their declarations also.

There is one problem with such claims and that is that Jesus said.
Luke 13: 33. “Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for IT CANNOT BE THAT A PROPHET PERISH OUTSIDE OF JERUSALEM.”
