THE PERFECT MAN

Adam, through sin had caused a storm -Gen.2:17-18
His grief would see no end
So God sought out a human form
To which He would descend

A virgin bride was found on earth -Mt.1:18
Untouched, her robe of white -Lk.1:27
Of flesh, God’s son was given birth -Mt.1:23
Conceived of perfect light -Jn.1:9

The Son of man grew straight and tall
The Holy God inside -Mt.1:23
Would bring about the devil’s fall -Gen.3:15
And be the perfect guide

Upon the cross, to death ordained -Nu.21:8+Jn.3:14
The curse of man He’d take -Dt.21:23
Festooned in guilt till life was drained -Jn.1:29
In glory He’d awake -Ac.3:13

God’s Spirit left Him on the tree -Mt.27:46+Jn.19:10
Man hung there all alone
Now man, through Christ alone is free -Gal.5;1
Through mortal flesh and bone

God said. ”You’ve now become my Son -Ac.13:33+Heb.1:5
My will; have You obeyed -Php.2:8
The work O God, You’ve now begun -1Cor.3:11
Will grow and never fade”-1Cor.3:10

On Heaven’s throne the perfect man -Heb.12:2
Sits at His Father’s side -Ps.110:1
So those within His holy plan -Mt.19:29
May come to be His bride -Rev.19:7

But first to self; we too must die -1Cor.15:31
All sinful lust yet kill -Ro.8:13
Before we come to God on high
So was and is God’s will.

It takes Almighty grace to take the next step
when there is no vision and no spectator -
the next step in devotion, the next step in
your study, in your reading, in your kitchen;
the next step in your duty, when there is no
vision from God, no enthusiasm and no
spectator. It takes far more of the grace of
God, far more conscious drawing upon God to
take that step, than it does to preach the
Gospel.

If there is any encouragement to pray, it surely must be knowing He already knows it all...

"And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do." and "...for He knows the secrets of the heart"

Knowing He already knows, whether the good we've done or the bad, the thoughts we've entertained or the fears and anxieties we've harbored - He already knows. He - already - knows! So go ahead and talk to Him for He will not cast you out nor condemn you for doing so.

Spill it! Spill it all to Him! - - remembering - He did - and all for you!

God bless!

1 Samuel 12:3-4
Here I am. Testify against me in front of the Lord and in front of his anointed king. Did I take anyone's ox? Did I take anyone's donkey? Did I cheat or oppress anyone? Did I take a bribe from anyone to look the other way? [If so,] I will give it all back.”
They answered, “You didn't cheat us, oppress us, or take anything from anyone.”

There is a freedom that comes in having nothing to hide.
Living a life of integrity allows you this freedom, your integrity is measured not by what you say about yourself but what God and people say about you.
Samuel had lived all his life among the people of God. Leaders who precededed him were dishonest and corrupt, it would have been easy for Samuel to compromise in his dealings as well.

Near the end of his life, Samuel could boldly stand before his nation and ask them to reveal any offense he had committed against any of them. They could not think of one thing.
In his position of leadership, Samuel could have taken advantage of people.
Yet, because he carefully guarded his motives and kept his relationships blameless.
It takes courage to open your life up to the serutiny of others, but Samuel did not fear what others would say about him. He did not have to avoid anyone whom he had offended. He had confidence that comes from living a blameless life.

If you have mistreated others, you cannot change the past, but you can choose to live with integrity, from that day forward living righteously frees you to face any person unashamedly. Knowing you have behaved in a Christ like manner.
If your reputation is stained, seek forgiveness from those you have offended.
Ask God to guide you daily in your relationships so that you have no regrets about your treatment of others.

Hebrews 12:28-29, NRSV"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,
let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe;
for indeed our God is a consuming fire."

Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever"

The unshakeable kingdom and the unchanging Person.Together.
He is the kingdom embodied.God's love personified here on earth.
Absolute goodness and ultimate authority looks out of his eyes.
God not only redeems through Christ he also rules through Christ.
In him is found absolute authority and absolute love.I can only
testify that the more I belong to Jesus Christ and his kingdom,
the more I belong to myself.Bound to him, I walk the earth free.
For with Him I can stand tall before everything else.

We should take very seriously the awesome privilege and position that
has been granted Us. Direct access to God. The proper response should
not be pride but rather humility, which comes from recognizing the level
of responsibility that comes with such access.
Jesus, whose sacrifice has made possible this access to God's presence requires
a "Total Commitment" made willfully, completely and without condition.
Jesus was not half crucified His words were not partial truths and the
Ten commandments were not the "Ten Suggestions"

If We continue to "walk in the light" of His love and protection the shadows will remain where they belong.. in the dark!

Psalm 23 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever

Jesus said, "Without me you can do nothing." "You can do nothing." That is the secret to a vibrant, mature spiritual life and ministry. It is not legalism. It is not doing deeds and fulfillment of laws to become a Christian.
Our personal relationship with Jesus Christ determines our faithfulness in Christian ministry

In a throw-away world, God wants us to know that he hates it
when we throw away people. Let's call each other to God's standard,
to God's holiness. Let's not let our spirits be corrupted by selfishness
and resentment. Let's not break faith with God by treating those
closest to us with contempt. And in a world where people get broken
by divorce, let's go find them, include them, and bring them home to
God's family for healing.

Psalms 96:1-3
The Psalmist has a new song to sing
Three times the Psalmist says in the first two verses, "Sing to the LORD," "Sing to the LORD," "Sing to the LORD."
It is hard to miss his point. He has a new song to sing, and he wants all the earth to hear it. The psalmist cannot restrain himself any longer. He is so impressed with the greatness of the Lord and His wondrous works he simply burst forth with praise to God.
"Sing to the LORD a new song; Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day"

It reminds us of Revelation 5:9; 14:3 when the redeemed out of all the nations will sing the new song gathered around the throne of God in eternity. They sing of the great things the Lord has done for them.
"And they sang a new song, saying, 'Worthy art Thou to take the book, and to break its seals; for Thou wast slain, and didst purchase for God with Thy blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation'" (Revelation 5:9).

"All of the earth" will be gathered there. Representatives from every tribe and village all over the earth will be worshipping Him. Aren’t you glad it is not just the ancient Jewish people, or Americans, or an elite group?
It is a message for "all the earth." Those who will be gathered around the throne of grace are all those who have bowed before the Lord God, confessed their need of Him, and believed on name of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.

However, let us be very careful if we think it is just for us. God will gather before the throne people of every nation, and tribe who have surrendered to Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

How Does God Bless Us?

Does God bless us by giving us everything we think we should have, even if it's bad for us?

Does God bless us by always letting us have our way -- whether it's the best way for us, or not?

Does God bless us by letting us get away with self-destructive behavior?

Does God bless us by letting us mistreat other people with impunity?

Does God bless us by giving us more responsibility, more money, or more fame, than we can handle?

Does God bless us by allowing us to never face the consequences of our actions?

Does God bless us by never allowing us to struggle or overcome difficulty?

If God blessed us in any of those ways, He would not be a good Father.

God blesses us by changing us into what we should be. He makes us to BE a blessing.

That puts us into God's category, where we can enjoy fellowship with Him -- which is the greatest blessing.
GENESIS 12:2 NIV
2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

SAY THIS: Thank you Lord for your blessing.

In the same way, my friends, you have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead in order that we may bear fruit for God. (Romans 7:4 NRSV)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of us may remember the name Leon Spinks. In the cruel world of professional boxing, Spinks was once the world heavyweight champion. Sometime back, Spinks was quoted as saying this: "People were always asking, after I won the title, 'Who is Leon Spinks?'" Then he added, "It's a question I've been asking all my life. I didn't know who I was but I knew I wanted to be somebody...I was tired of being nobody."
I wonder if anybody had ever told Leon Spinks that even before he was formed in his mother's womb, the eternal God knew who he was? That is the good news for the day. We matter. We are worth something. Let no one say that we are nobodies. This beautiful world was created in our behalf. The infinite stars would not shine down from the skies if we were not here to behold them. Of even more staggering import is a cross that stands on a hill named Calvary. For it was there that the Son of the living God gave His life in our behalf.

In Sweden there is a saying that "in every man there is a king, and in every woman, a queen. If you speak to them as 'Your Majesty,' their majesty will come forth." May we all live like we are children of God!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prayer: Dear God, sometimes I don't do a very good job of loving myself. Remind me each day that I am your child! May I also treat everyone I meet as your child. Amen.
