Altya, since you felt led to post here, I dont doubt that you may be hearing the call to return to being a prayer warrior. You are not a nothing....your prayers could save many souls. If santan accuses you that you are a nothing...laugh at him and say, "you are right I am nothing other than a child of God, loved and receiving His Divine Mercy and by this power you Santan are being defeated."

I am praying for you right now Altya that this will take hold in your heart to comfort and strengten you.

Thanks so much for praying. I do have a good relationship with God. I still hear His voice but I dont go to church. This is bothering me; I do not believe Christians is supposed to live without the body. I withdrawn from ministry a few years ago, I was in fulltime ministry. I toured in Africa and preached in some of the States. I believe we have got a backlash after returning. The whole group is apart now. Maybe it is not that, maybe I have made wrong choices. I was very active in the forum you can check my postings, some are really good teachings.

Hello altya,

I know from personal experience what it means to pull away from God and it is not worth it, not for a day and not even for a moment. Reach out to Him and let Him take you back close while you can. Jesus said:

"I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." John 9:4

He spoke of Himself, but we are His called to do a still greater work.

Dave, of all the inspirations you bring us from the internet and your email...I believe this one titled "God's Boxes" is the best. I enjoyed that and want to say "Thank You so much for posting them here. I can see that you take extra care to set up the formatting for our enjoyment and I really appreciate that. :wave:

Quiet

FINDING PEACE

When you begin to pray, distrctions can be a hughe barrior impeding your progress. Peace of mind will help you to pray. You can turn peace of mind into a natural habit, during your dailey routin as well as your prayer time but to do so, some training is required, through concentration exercises, meditation; here are a few simple things that can help you and it wont be as difficult as it may sound. Christ can pull you out of the fire on numerous occasions but it is up to you to LEARN how to find the PEACE you seek.

First, accept what cannot be changed. This saves a lot of time, energy and worries and be determined to uncover the secret agenda of SELF...your own ego will cause you more trouble than you know.

Learn to be more patient and tolerant with people and events. Don't hold grudges. Learn to forget and forgive. Nurturing ill feelings and grievances hurts you and causes lack of sleep and anxiety.

Don't be jealous of others. Being jealous means that you have low self-esteem and consider yourself inferior to others. This again, causes lack of inner peace.

Don't take everything too personally. Some emotional and mental detachment is desirable. Try to view your life and other people with a little detachment and less involvement.

Let bygones be gone. Forget the past and concentrate on the present moment. There is no need to evoke unpleasant memories and immerse yourself in them. Stop talking about them and difflect your thoughts to other things when they pop into your mind. By this exercise your ability to control them will grow stronger till you will be able to turn then off at will and the number of times they enter your mind will dimenish leaving you at peace. This will aid you to enter into a deeper prayer time with far more benefit you may have been missing.

Detachment is not indifference, lack of interest or coldness. It is the ability to think and judge impartially and logically. Don't worry if again and again you fail to manifest detachment. Just keep trying.

I fly around the internet and was led to the Eagle's Nest
and now I can spend my Golden Years doing all that I love best
My journey, has been no-secret, my life is an open-book
Now, I am alive and happy because, towards Jesus, I did look

What can I say but... Father God Knows Best!

One year ago, I was a broken person...without even a small light of hope. Learning this "detachment" was the first lesson I had to take. You are right about how detachment and acceptance can "lift the burden" and yes, I had to practice this until just like physical exercise, strength came and the benefits came and the healing began. The first of those benefits was the relief from the nightmares that made me just fearful of going to sleep and finally rest was possible. That is why this is such an important first step to healing. Our body undergoes so much stress from the negative thoughts we let run rampant through our mind.

Being alone can be a trial and sometimes hard to endure. I had to apply some of the regimen that I learned in CoDA years ago and that is some of the things that you mentioned SG. The detachment, laying boundaries and self esteem. The biggest comfort was knowing that God was there for me and that I could endure this past year being alone. It drove me back to reading the bible and digesting His word.

It's still tough though.
