Someone told me that changed a few years ago, because of cable television.

They said that Neilson now uses stats from cable providers.

I don't know if the person was right or not.

you misunderstand me. I'm not talking about this specific situation, you're right a person that young would normally not receive said surgery, but this goes past that. This makes out the entire viewpoint as bad or evil. He or she is not the judge of good and bad. Like I said, other people's values are not yours.

So, according to the OP, everyone should just keep their problems, issues, illnesses, quirks, ambitions, wants, desires, drives, needs, likes, dislikes, preferences, syndromes, and creativities to themselves.

By extension, should people be forced to keep their problems, issues, illnesses, quirks, ambitions, wants, desires, drives, needs, likes, dislikes, preferences, syndromes, and creativities to themselves? It would make it a lot easier for everyone else, wouldn't it?

Or those of us that work in the evening so you 9-5ers can go out and have a drink after work. Here recently I have been working 4pm to 2 or 4 am, so I am home during the day to watch daytime TV if I so choose. And I work 50-60 a week. Of course, with that shift, I am usually still in bed at 11...

I think you'll find that a lot of transgender people have been thinking about their gender since they were small children.

As for 12 year olds, you do realize that many are already starting to worry about what they need to do to get into college and are being encouraged to think what they want to do for a career? These would seem to cause far more in terms of loss of childhood than a child believing they are the opposite sex.

So again, what exactly makes this evil?

In Renton's world anything that is different, or that he is simply not used to, is evil. It makes life wonderfully simple - you never have to think about anything, because if you don't like it then it's evil. God is against anything evil and they will burn in hell for all eternity.

Gay = different = evil

Transgender = different = evil

and so forth.

You never have to consider that these are actually real people with real lives, and instead can write them off as being evil.

I find people like Renton absolutely fascinating. They create this bizarre alternate reality in their heads, and when presented with anything real they shake their heads and ignore it. Fascinating....

Apparently holding a different opinion about things makes people evil, vile, ect, ect. And you are sooo right, how dare she support someone who needs it? Oh wait...

And as a side note, I can't really begin to understand what it must feel like to think you are the opposite gender. In fact it's a subject in general I don't know too hard about, but I think it's perfectly understandable that people would feel like their gender doesn't match their sex.

No but my wife sometimes does and I see the awful stuff she puts on her shows.. She had a 12 year old girl on TV who wanted to be a boy, and everyone in the audience is clapping in cheering them on. You don't see anything wrong with that picture?? She is exploiting a confused child to push her views on the world.

A 12 year old shouldnt not even be thinking about having a "sex change". And shows like this hurt childrens innocence..Im sure Ill get the "narrowminded" label as usual, but when you really think about it, it is wrong what she is doing. If a childs innocence is ruined a big wrench is thrown into his growing up process and he isn't able to be a child anymore. The scary thing is this Typra Banks show probably dosen't have an M rating so it is getting to children..Everything about her show is anti-family, anti-moral values. If she wants to push her evil filth on people fine, but don't use underaged children to promote trangenderism. That is exploitation and its sick and she should be ashamed of herself..

Well if public schools or parents would keep their children away from sex education in the public school system it would help greatly keep their innocence. Sex Education is pushed on children at too young an age and it is detriment to their innocence and their growing up. Yes, 10-12 year olds may have a "crush" here and there, but transgenderism and "sex change" surgury is something in a whole different ballgame and should not even be entering a childs mind(unless the parents are bad parents)

The girl had the confusion before the show. She will have them afterwards. By stating her confusion in public she may reach parents of other children with the same confusion.

Ignoring problems in the name of a child's innocence is what often causes problems down the road.
